Gratzi Cafe We were invited to come visit Joe @ Gratzi Cafe Restaurant in Morley this month and after hearing and reading great reviews, we were pretty excited about hitting this suburban haunt! Gratzi is a well laid out restaurant with the authentic Italian feel you come to hope for, a great bar, two separate sections for a different feel when dining, and great waitstaff.

The owner Joe is the chef here, which always gives me a good feeling when the owner is in the kitchen! Onto the entrees.

I definitely suggest sharing entrees here if you have any hope of fitting the mains in, and for those game enough, a dessert after that. We ordered a great tasting plate which came out on a stand that allowed very easy access (I'm usually pretty clumsy and useless) and had all the Italian delicacies you would expect. All the freshest and tastiest, so it was easy to tell that Gratzi spends time sourcing the best ingredients. Add in a side serve of sticky honey, chilli calamari (brilliant) and the 4 of us were nye on full before the mains! For the main event, I had the Surf & Turf which had a gorgeous piece of red meat and big, juicy prawns which were perfectly creamy and slowly but surely I got through it all so as not to disappoint anyone! Others had the crumbed veal, risotto and steak, all equally happy but all of us took some time to finish the meal off.

The value here was brilliant, $200 on the dot for double the amount of food we could eat, two bottles of wine and a bunch of beers. Dessert was never going to happen as soon as we saw the entrees come out. All in all, Gratzi Cafe has stunning food for great prices, very friendly and helpful staff and an atmosphere you hope for in a great Italian restaurant. Very easy to see why they are a Gold Plate Finalist this year. Gratzi Cafe in Morley
