The Fuze Tapas Lounge
Northbridge Fuze is a new addition to the Northbridge scene, taking over from the popular African Mesob. Their goal was to create a tapas restaurant and not try to be anything else, just what they claim to be. This, they are currently doing well indeed. Fuze is the perfect place to hit up for a snack or meal before heading out for a drink in Northbridge, or just an easy last minute dinner after a busy day. They have a good array of tapas on the menu, also including a number of main meals but I'd like to see those limited to just a few and the full concentration on the tapas menu. This aside, I am definitely going to head back, especially for the following 6 dishes we thought we would point out!
Tempura Whiting Nori Rolls with Radish & Aioli

Very fresh Whiting wrapped in a thin and crispy seaweed tempura batter, placed upon creatively sliced sour and salty radish and alongside a very creamy aioli. Joel's favourite dish.
Spanish Sausage with Tzatziki & Mint Leaf

Good quality sausage accompanied well with a creamy homemade mint tzatziki. Very fresh flavours. A good starter.
Peking Duck Pancakes with Shanghi Dipping Sauce

Succulent duck with julienne cucumber wrapped in a delicate pancake with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Very tasty and will please most.
Battered King Prawn with Tomato & Cardamom

Very light cripsy batter, cooked in clean, fresh oil and atop a mix of tomato and cardamom. Flavours went well together and again, very fresh ingredients. Any prawn lover will be happy with this one.
Marinated Swordfish Skewers with Lemon & Garlic

A very generous serve of fresh swordfish, subtle charcoal flavour which worked really well with the lemon and garlic to create a complex taste on something simple. Great low fat option but easily one of the best dishes on the menu.
Caramlised Peach & Goats Cheese Crostini

A unique dish with the focus being on the flavour of the goats cheese, mild sweetness thanks to the peaches and easy to handle toast, no soggyness here. Great way to finish your tapas experience. The decor is all new and although it wasn't the decor they originally envisioned, we absolutely loved it; VERY comfortable chairs, too!

If you hit up Fuze and grab some of the tapas we mentioned, I think you will have a great time with whoever you venture in with, even the in-laws.
