Welcome to Agni Indian Cuisine

Agni Indian Cuisine

A personal message from the Owner

We at Agni are proud to serve you the finest in authentic Indian cuisine. Many of our dishes and breads are prepared in our real tandoor – a wood charcoal fired clay oven that imparts a unique flavour and texture to the food.

At Agni everything is cooked to order from the freshest and best quality ingredients. Although you may think of Indian food as hot and spicy not all items are hot and those which are can be adjusted to your taste.

We would be happy to provide you with information for private party catering, banquets or for any other occasion you may require our services for.

We offer a full range of sparkling, white, red and dessert wines which are carefully selected to accompany the food served.

We open seven nights for Al a Carte dinner and have buffet lunches on Friday Saturday and Sunday. On public holidays that we open, we charge a small surcharge.

Please feel free to contact me for any comments and suggestions, enjoy your meal at Agni.

Overall:
Popped in after a movie - so arrived at about 8.30pm.

Despite booking the week before and the restaurant being quite empty we had to wait for a table to be made up for us. Only a short delay, and when shown to our table it was well set out with clean linen, glasses & cutlery.

We opted to try the buffet - $28.50ph and it appeared that due to the time it was being let "run down" as most dishes, particularly the Tandoori Chicken were quite empty and you had to sift through the sauce to get meat.

What was there however was reasonably tasty although somewhat lacking in heat (chilli hot that is).

Standouts were the Tandoori Chicken - large boneless pieces with a nice smokey taste & Butter Chicken -zingiest dish.

Disappointment of the night - Beef Vindaloo - tough & bland.

Perhaps if doing the buffet it may pay to get there earlier.

All in all an enjoyable if not memorable evening.

Overall:
Went out for dinner tonight, place was very quiet, I suppose, it is a Wed evening. Parking was no problem at all. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly staff straight away and directed us to our table. I would say that they have some nice authentic looking Indian decor from seats, chandeliers (but some globes were blown which made it look a bit cheap. We were given Nan breads straight away with a yoghurt based dipping sauce. It was lovely.

They had a good mix of food from vegetarian to meat dishes. The menu also has a guide showing how hot each dish can be. We settled for some Basmati rice, chicken with yoghurt and almond, (nice but my companion said was bland) I didn't mind it though. The lamb Palak was nice but I would say average. We didn't have dessert as we were rushing to go to the cinema after. This place is like less than 3 mins to the Innaloo Cinema Complex. With the Entertainment Card the visit was good.

I understand during the weekends, they also have an all you can eat buffet, might be worth checking out in the future.
