Food:

The food for me has always been lovely and fast.
I have read some previous reviews and cant understand their comments. I ask you to go back and try again.
I have had almost everything on the menu, and loved it all.
especially the bread's and dips.

Service:

Ok so the staff aren't always on the ball, but they try. they are very nice and do their best to look after all the clients. When the Sheesha bar is in full swing, and there a drunks everywhere it must be hard to look after everyone at once. I like the guys and girls that work there. They are lovely!

Ambience:

Aida's ambience is beautiful. I am not a huge fan of Egyptian music, but its bearable. Plus it adds to the experience. The few pictures and artifacts on the wall's are GREAT. it like a little bit of Egypt right here in Perth... Again, just Lovely.

Overall:
FANTASTIC! I Love Aida and I will for sure be back with all of my friends. I love the Sheesha, I love the food and I especially love the people. Thanks heaps!

Food:

We have been to the Shisha Bar a couple of times now.
We have ordered dipping breads and homous/tabouleh etc, they were quite good. Seemed freshly made, and bread was good to go with.
Ended up getting extra bread both times to finish up dips.

Service:

Non-Existant. We kept having to find the staff to order food / Drinks / Shisha. They just had no idea at all. We probably would have doubled or tripled our order with them had they bothered to serve us. Exactly the same on the 2nd visit, even after mentioning this. Unbelievable.

Ambience:

Poor. Egyptian videos playing in the corner. Loud and obnoxious. A few statues, and paintings, but nothing more.

Overall:
Disappointed. These guys have the closest Shisha bar to the city. They could market it, and really get the place going, but with the obvious lack of enthusiasm, they aren't interested. Ce-La-Vie. We won't be back. We'll go somewhere that appreciates customers and business.

I have been to Aida several times and love the food so much, I have had the Fuolmedamas, which are so tasty and filling with bread and salad, and I've had the paella, which for any seafood lover is a must, I have had basically everything on the menu. My favourite is the secret sauce the chef puts on the meats, its spicy but very very tasty. He popped some onto my salad for me, and the flavour was just devine.

Service:

I think it is great having the belly dancer waitressing also in the restaurant, not only is the service efficient and fast, but always with a smile. In the shisha bar the boy is so fast that before you order your shisha you have it!

Ambience:

The decor is so beautiful, you feel like you are back in egypt and the whole place has been cleaned and now with the air conditioner, its so lovely to sit and enjoy your food. There are many beautiful Egyptian pictures and shishas - so classy.

Overall:
I always go to Aida, and I will continue to. I love everything about it, the friendly service, the tasty food, the air conditioner!! and the beautiful atmosphere.

Like at home! I don't have to go back to my mother in Egypt to have a good dinner now, its great! You can have typical Egyptian simple dishes such as falafel, kouchery or fulmedamas for only $11.

Service:

Not bad, people were very relaxed, maybe too much even (cause they were slow.) But nice and patient

Ambience:

Good music, good mood in general. I had good times with my friends, we were comfortably seated in couches with pillows next to the window. I also enjoyed the shisha bar

Overall:
I will go back there for sure

Food:

Great, it was the best traditional food I had ever tasted. Especially the okra which was very tasty. I just came back from Dubai and Egypt and I couldn't imagine there could be a place in WA which could put me back in the same magic atmosphere.

Service:

Nice people and patient waiter who handled our noisy birthday celebration and the hard time we gave him

Ambience:

Great music, now we all know how to belly dance

Overall:
My best birthday party in 25 years!!!!!!! ill never forget it. Thanks Aida

Food:

The food when it finally came was bland and boring. Not very exciting at all. The curry was a lot of gravy and not a lot of taste. Like it had been cooked in a big vat in bulk. Very watery...could have been defrosted from previous cook. This restaurant was such an enormous let down. It was also BYO which they never let us know when we booked, so had to go looking for bottle shop up the road. Corkage was unbelievable $1 per small beer and $10 per spirit and $4 per wine. Didn't have any ice, and soft drinks were very expensive. Shisha pipes were very unhygienic, no personal mouth pieces very old wooden pipes and dirty water inside them. Vile

Service:

Service was a let down, the waiter and waitress were scandinavian of some sort, not Egyptian or even middle eastern. English was not good and knowledge was minimal. Almost like they were paid backpackers.

Ambience:

Egyptian videos on the TV that sat on the bar. The restaurant had a few Egyptian artifacts around. But we were the only table of people on a Saturday night, it was totally empty apart from us.

Overall:
I would never ever go back to this restaurant again. They don't take cards of any kind only cash. The waiter told us after our meal that the belly dancer called in sick !! This was part of the appeal the belly dancer for some entertainment. We were the only 6 people in whole restaurant. The shisha bar next door where we were scuffled was full of smoke, and very intimidating. The service was appalling. Supposed live music, was a guy on an organ playing Egyptian music. Never again...and expensive

Food:

The food was very disappointing. It didn't taste very fresh and lacked flavour. The curry was very watery and bland.

Service:

Absolutely shocking service. They didn't have the table ready when we arrived for the booking. They added up the bill wrong and nearly charged us $300 extra. The meals came out at different times despite us all ordering off the set menu. We had to ask three times for an ice bucket, drinks etc.

Ambience:

There were nice Egyptian statues and the smoking bar was very relaxed. However, smoke poured into the eating room which was a bit off putting.

Overall:
I would not go back there. It is overpriced for what it is. Hardly anyone else was in the restaurant. The food was plentiful but bland and tasted old, especially the olives. One person found a pubic hair on their bread and butter plate so that makes me wonder about the hygiene of the place. I enjoyed the smoking bar and the company of friends but the restaurant was a shocker!

Overall:
The food was average and somewhat disappointing... especially the shishkebab dish which turned out to be a plate of rice and leafy green salad with two strips of mince meat which seemed improperly cooked...the salad and rice was also drenched in what seemed like half a litre of olive oil...

Among the other dishes ordered was a meat assortment which included prawns, chicken and mince meat which was quite good, especially the prawns!

We were seated on one side of the restaurant near the doors, which was comfortable and roomy, although you did sort of feel like you were constantly being watched by people passing by the glass windows behind you and through the nearby front doors...

The atmosphere on the whole was quite good, what with the music belly dancing, etc. although, as you might expect, not really suitable for a family outing...especially if there are young children...

Service was good and prompt.

Well we thought we would try this place for the food and to try out the Sheesha Bar, main reason really! :^)

Food:
Ordered the seafood dish with paella, the waitress was distracted while talking to us and spilt my seafood sauce on the floor. I guess better there than on us!

Service:
Day 14, I think that we were so into each other that we didn't care about the lack of attention of service, requesting extra utensils for our dishes, the food was acceptable.

Ambience:
It was a typical of late, humid balinese type night in Perth it lacked air-conditioning or being seated near an open window. The fans in the main room were not sufficient, we moved to a small area with open bay windows. Well for me it was a soothing breeze :)

We will try again, perhaps in a month or two and see if there is any improvement, whilst staying focused!
