Food:

The food here is probably one of the best I've ever had! The dont go crazy on the garlic like most places, and the food is very very fresh. My favourites have to be the chicken chow mein and the bean curd rolls. There isn't an overly long wait on food, and when it comes out, wow delicious! Oh and the prices are great!

Service:

Service is quick and friendly, the owner comes around and chats to you for a bit. Overall service is very good

Ambience:

It's a typical chinese restaraunt layout very oriental and traditional, but that just adds to its charm! The place feels very welcoming, the only complaint would be that when it's a warm night and the restaurant is crowded, it gets very warm and muggy, as the airconditioners are unable to cope

Overall:
We've been going here for years and years, and quality has never dropped. I recommend that you go try this asap! Although it will ruin your local chinese for you!

The food here is very good. I've tried a lot of dishes, and I keep going back for more. I only ever visit for lunch and have been there once or twice a month for the last four years.

The lunch specials cost $9.50 last time I was there, and there are about 20 to choose from. You can get the entire dish for some of them, and others come with a choice of either steamed or fried rice. Of note the fried rice doesn't cost extra like at some places. My favorites include:

Char kway teow - a slightly smokey taste, with a hint of chilli.
Satay Chicken - Not too peanutty, and not spicy. If you don't like the spice try this one.
Kung Po Chicken - HOT! Served with hot chillis, and a hint of honey i think.. very good if you can handle the heat.

Service:

Some very friendly, almost quirky staff. The regulars are very enthusiastic, with an honest, service focus. I do find them a bit quirky, but they contribute to the atmosphere. I think once out of the dozens of visits, one person got the wrong meal. This was fixed quickly and apologetically.

Ambience:

When you first walk in they have the fish tank with the live crabs in it bubbling away. It's not overly pretty, but I have a peek at the crabs each visit. It's always pretty busy when I'm there, so not a quiet place. Most of the decorations have aged a bit, but the walls and roof are covered.

Overall:
Overall it's the great food, competent service, and friendly staff that keep me and workmates coming back. We used to joke about the ugly sticky carpet, but they finally got new carpet! Now I don't feel so bad taking people there for the first time. Overall great value for the price.

Although the prices were ridiculously inexpensive, I have to say that the food seemed to be of extremely high quality.

All the dinner 'specials' were priced at a low $9.00 and served with a mountain of fried or steamed rice.

I tried their signature dish, "Ambassador Chicken", served with a very good Fried Rice and it was so delicious, I can't wait to try it again! Needless to say, my plate was scraped clean!

Service:

The staff were all well-presented, mature and spoke incredibly fluent English. They were efficient, friendly and courteous. I was so impressed after the poor service I'd received from a particular Vietnamese restaurant in Northbridge where the staff spoke no English and were rude to the customers.

Ambience:

Although the restaurant looks like a bit of dated Australiana from the outside, once we walked in through the faded red door, I was surprised to see a rather tasteful and ambient , but very LARGE yet cosy, clean and well-laid out restaurant, a bit like the TARDIS from Dr Who.

Overall:
This is now one of my favourite Chinese restaurants and I highly recommend it as being not-your-average, traditional Australian-Chinese restaurant. I loved the food, the cosy and clean ambience, the well-dressed and courteous staff, and everything about this establishment. You will feel quite comfortable with the East-West theme and leave the restaurant vowing to return as soon as you can!

Overall:
A casual restaurant with slightly dated decor( have been going there for 15 years and it hasn't changed), but really good food and fast service. Their signature dishes in Ambassador Chicken, Sizzling Garlic Steak and Mango King Prawns are fantastic and always a winner. The serves are always enough and we always go home full and satisfied. Great for a quick (or lengthy) business lunch. A limited wine & alcohol list.

Also they do a very fast take away which is usually ready by the time I hang up the phone, get in the car and drive there in 6-7 mins. They always throw in a big bag of prawn crackers and for orders over $50 we have been given a free 2 litre coke.
