  • Excellent Indian food; as good as can be had in Australia. The breads are great and the curries are authentic for the most part. The mixed platter entree is very generous but a little heavy on chicken with only 1 item each of the goat and fish ilk.

  • Excellent and attentive, allowing for how busy the restaurant is even on weeknights and the total number of wait staff. One of our group had milk & nut allergies and the waiters always paid a great deal of attention to this.

  • Myself and my partner are huge Indian food fans, and know what we like and dont like. Anghiti we LIKE actually we LOVED it !!! The food was fantastic!! The entree menu looked delicious however, we skipped entrees as we have ordered them in the pass and been too full to enjoy the mains. So we had the lamb vindaloo (hot) and a chicken tikka masala (meduim) rice, pappdums, garlic nan and Raita. The curries were delicious and didnt have that re heated meat taste you often get in indian food. he vindaloo was hot and had tender chuncks of lean lamb. The chickun tikka masala had just enough heat and beutiful spicy smokey flavour. The garlic naan was awesome cooked to perfection with garlic and smokiness.

  • I will definitely be going back. The money is worth the food and service you will receive. This food runs rings around Maya Masala and your generic indian restaurants in perth. One other thing we noticed there were many indian groups and families eating which is always a good sign. Definitely a place worth trying !

  • Fantastic quality food. I'm not an experienced Indian cousine fan but was recently introduced to Anghiti by three of my Indian born housemates, who have said its the best Indian in Perth and some of the best they've ever had even back home. Every dish I've sampled in three visits has been excellent and unique. Top notch restaurant, probably my favorite in Perth now.

  • Excellent service. In a non tipping culture like Australia service tends to be average or worse at many places. Once you get your food you struggle to flag someone down to get a refill, order dessert or get your bill. The servers are always standing nearby watching for questions or requests.

  • Modern and clean restaurant, a large window looks into the kitchen where you can watch the food being prepared and cooked, and everything is very clean and tidy. Light Indian music is playing in the background with local art on the walls. Pleasant.

  • After three visits its just hard to find something bad to say about this place. If you like Indian food you'll love this place and won't want to eat at other Indian restaurants again. If you don't like this food or don't like spicy food the staff can recommend which dishes are spicy or not, or can make it extra hot if you ask. Try it.

  • My partner and I started with an entree of Onion Bhaji (YUM!) and our mains were rice, garlic naan, Dum Anghiti Chicken (house special) & lamb Rogan Josh. All washed down with mango lassi. WOW. I'm newly converted to Indian food, but even my long term Indian fan partner loved the food. Neither of the dishes were too spicy but we were told they could be made spicier if we wanted.

  • No complaints here really. We were seated quickly on a Thursday night without a booking. The staff kept an eye on us so they knew when to come and take our order, when to serve entree & when we were ready for mains. The guy who took our payment seemed disinterested in our feedback.

  • The food here is amazing! Quality Indian food is very hard to find in Perth, but this place does it very well. I've eaten at Anghiti more than 15 times and every time I order the Tandoor Tasting Platter for starters which is more on the expensive side, but comes with the paneer tika, lamb kebabs and chicken tika. For mains I mostly have the Jinga Masala (Prawns) which is heavenly along with the Reshmi Paneer (shredded paneer). These two dishes go well with a nice cold beer. I normally order the garlic or bullet (chilli) naan which are always nice and thin and slightly crispy. The portions look small at first, but they are quite generous.

  • The service can be a little slow at times. But I've been to the Scarborough Bch Rd one more than 15 - 20 times and probably had poor service two times. Still, its worth waiting for quality indian food that is hard to find in Perth.

  • I have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants in Perth, and I keep on going back to Anghiti time and time again. Bir's restaurant is famous in Kenya for its quality food and its nice to know that there's a place to go to when I need a good Indian curry. I'm glad that he's opened up a smaller Anghiti in Padbury.

    V
  • Between the two of us, we selected (#39)Chicken Korma and the (#44)Kadai Lamb, a serve of garlic nan and rice to share - deciding to err on the side of portion caution. The Chicken Korma was served in a little urn and was extremely creamy and tasty enough, but after a few mouthfuls began to get sickening. Our little dish of Kadai Lamb promised to be spicy, but tasted mostly like a serve of packet curry with an overdose of capsicums. The garlic nan and rice were okay, definitely nothing great.

For dessert, my companion and I tried the Golab Jamun (sp?) - she'd had them else where before and loved them. At Anghiti, the Golab Jamun is three semi-cold little round balls of dense, dough-like mixture in a small pool of lukewarm syrup - GROSS.

  • Anghiti appeared clean enough and was well presented. The staff were generally cold and inattentive which was to the detriment of the general ambiance - do you really want to have to take time out of your meal to try to get the attention of a waiter?

  • The food used to be really good at Anghiti. PERHAPS ANGHITI WILL BE ANOTHER SAD CASE OF FOOD GONE CRAPPY THANKS TO PERCEIVED SUCCESS? And the waiter that took our payment completely ignoring us about our feedback about the disgusting semi-cold Golab Jamun (dessert) that remained untouched past the first half spoonful... COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTING.

  • We came here on a Thursday night at around 7.30 without a booking; we were welcomed and taken to a table for 3.

From the outside the restaurant doesn't look like much but inside it is rather nice, with simple table settings.

We ordered the house specialty, butter chicken and a vegetable dish to share and Naan bread (not sure what type of Naan it had spices and cheese inside and was VERY tasty). We didn't have to wait long for our food. Everything was bought in little clay pots, at first to look at it you wonder, is that going to feed us all? But the pots hold quite a lot inside.

The butter chicken had a nice smoked flavour to it and everything else was very delicious, all in all in was very nice, with an Entertainment Book voucher it came to around $75 including drinks.

    V
  • Dropped into Anghiti for the second time last night for a post shopping meal.

We ordered the standard Palak Paneer (was a bit oily but did taste very nice), Chicken with Coriander seeds (really tasty, I love coriander) pulao rice and tandoori roti.

We also chose a bottle of Madfish Sav Blanc Sem which matched quite well with the richness of the food.

The restaurant itself is quite nice with warm yellow walls and big tables, but it does get quite noisy.

Staff are friendly but not terribly attentive, our wine was forgotten and we would have liked to have taken away our leftovers but by the time someone came we decided they had probably been sitting there for too long.

All in all a pleasant if standard Indian restaurant which we would probably go to again if in the area and starving.

  • What a wonderful addition to the indian cuisine in the western suburbs. We went on Sat night and ordered the tandoori tasting plate, lamb rogan josh, chicken and mixed rice dish, naan breads. The wait was 45 minutes but the food was worth it!! Everything was fantastic, all the dishes were spicy and the rogan josh was excellent. I will definitely make this one of my favourite restaurants in the area.

  • So, both my family and my work mates eat at or get takeout from Anghiti fairly often these days. The Goa Prawn remains my favourite, but the Lamb Kadai and Octopus Kadai are also pretty good. Keep in mind when you order the octopus you're going to get lots of tiny whole octopuses in your curry, that was interesting.

Everyone I've taken to the restaurant has been impressed. No disrespect to the Punjab (I prefer their Indian desserts), but those raving about how it is the best Indian in WA should really head a few doors down and try Anghiti.

  • I have enjoyed lunch at Anghiti many times and, apart from the attentive service and excellent food, i have to alert you to the snapper curry which is just outstanding!

The serves are pretty big so be careful not to order too much if you're the kind of person who feels guilty about left-overs.

    Oh! So good!

  • Went down for lunch and had the Goa Prawn Curry with a side of rice, it was delicious. Plenty of vegetarian meals available and good service.

The portions were huge and the rice was served separately in piping hot clay bowls for you to mix and match as you please, also great for sharing meals to try a bit of everything. Highly recommended.
