Overall:
On a cold saturday morning, my partner, son and I decided to try this restaurant for brunch.. I saw it advertised in our local paper as having the best eggs benedict, which is my fave, so I wanted to test their version. We arrived to find a friendly waitress (who was very accommodating with my questions and requests on the phone) who let us choose a table and grabbed some papers/mags for us. She was so genuine and seemed like she loved being there and wanted to ensure we were looked after. I ordered my eggs, my boyfriend had the all day brekky and my son (9yr old) wanted his fave, pancakes (which by the way was not on the menu, but nothing seemed too hard to conjure from the kitchen). She suggested bacon with them, which he was impressed with, as they are his 2 most favourite foods. The food presented, was of good size, fresh, seemingly made with love (which I think is the essence to cooking good food). My eggs were stunning, the best ever! They consisted of 2 muffins with 2 slices of thick leg ham, cooked spinach, perfectly shaped poached eggs and the hollandaise sauce which was delicately peppered (nice touch!) My boyfriend was delighted with his offerings and my son was just as happy. The location is not idyllic, but it was one of those occasions when everything was perfect and it gave us a good feeling to find a satisfying breakfast venue not full of pretense. The waitress (Sue) said they open for lunch and dinner also. I will be heading back soon as they got it ALL right, which can be hard to master for some!

Overall:
really nice family style restaurant, BYO(yay) and CHEAP!

went there with my partner and some friends on Wednesday night. i never travel north but now i've found this little place i will head-up more often.

the venue is stylish and cozy-the only problem is the plastic tablecloths....didn’t really fit in with the style of the restaurant.

the food was yummy..kinda like banca but with more traditional italian menu items. i tried the chicken scallopine and the adriatic pasta both were delish, the other members of our group were really pleased with their meals too. the serving size was large and most dishes came with some vegies or a garden salad.

Our waitress was lovely and she convinced us to have desserts with our coffees, both of which were great. the coffee was beautifully made and my pear strudel was to die for. Felt guilty coz i didnt leave a tip so i thought i'd write a nice review instead!!
