I can only comment on the takeaway because I haven't dined in - YET. Yummo!! Best curry we've had in ages. We have ordered from here a couple of times and I thought it was about time I shared. Their dishes are delicious and we have not been disappointed. Usually when we order curry from anywhere we order enough for lunch the next day and usually from any other curry place whilst we're eating our dog gets thrown the icky bits of meat we don't like but with the Bayleaf we eat everything!! Also, we are hard pressed to rummage up enough for lunch because we eat more of it for dinner. I can't say how happy I am to have found this place. Okay, the prices could be a little lower, looking at around $17 to $19 a meat dish but seeing as we eat every scrap in the dishes it's worth the money.

This place whenever we go in to pick up our takeout has a good handful of people also waiting for takeout, people coming and going from eating in the restaurant and the phone ringing for people to place orders. It has been busy every time we've gone and to me that's a good sign, they definitely are doing something right.

Overall:
The reason we keep going back to this little restaurant at the bottom of the Great Eastern Highway is that the food is consistently good. The chef /owner took this restaurant over about 18 months ago and after a slow start and enticements on the shopping dockets it has become a very busy and popular place. The owner very proudly showed us all his awards that he had won and was very warm and friendly. The down side to this restaurant is that it is part of the Stirling Range Hotel and as many of the clientele spill out onto into the car park we are always a bit concerned whether there will still be a car waiting for us when we come out! The other down side is the service. I'm all for giving young people a chance but hair over faces and slow service is not what the public want. The good thing of course here is the food. We often go as a group of 4 or more and then order the banquet. There is enough food to feed an army!! It just keeps coming. I particularly love Onion Bhaji and a dish called Palak Paneer which is a spinach cooked with mild curry spices and has cheese through it. The prawn masala is another favourite. The list goes on. Lots of garlic naan and parathas make for an excellent curry night. Well worth a try.
