Yet again we ventured to Cafe Bellini.

The two tasting plates (as entree for 4 people) were delicious and packed with antipasto goodies.

The mains very also very good especially the turkey special I had ordered. Everyone at the table was envious of my meal :-)

The only very irritating fact was that once we were seated we were pretty much ignored for at least 15 minutes. No water was offered and no wine opened. Service after this point was fine.

Visited here for the first time on a Friday night with a friend as I was looking for somewhere for a good honest meal for not a lot of $$ and friendly service. Caffe Bellini (why 2 f's in Caffe?!) fit the bill perfectly.

I liked the atmosphere as it was packed out but not too noisy and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I had pasta pescatore which I adored and my friend had a pizza. Loved my pasta: fresh seafood and a yummy white wine sauce with herbs. My friend was quite as enamoured with her pizza.

On the down side: had to ask for water and my main came out at the same time practically as our shared starter so a little haphazard on the service side plus $3.50 each for corkage is a bit extreme. All in all a pleasant experience.

the GARLIC bread is the BEST!!! very tasty. i had a crving for garlic bread so i walked a bit further from caffe amaretto (where i use to work) and thought i would try this place.

the garlic bread was hot and tasty! the thickly sliced bread made this treat a delight to eat as places i have been to serve you thinly sliced bread and come on bread does not cost alot!! the takeaway version came in aluminion foil and you got a plastic bag if you requested. as i was very keen to eat it before going home. i needed somewhre to place the bread to avoid oil seeping into my car seat covers. they could have given me a paper bag to avoid using plastic bags.

you get 3 slices in one serve and the cost is less than 4dollars.

i would buy the garlic bread again for sure!!! ^___^

Had some fresh gnocchi for a quick bite to eat for lunch here last week. Service was quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere. Good take-away pizza too.

Went here on Friday night. Fully booked as per usual. Cafe Bellini is a longtime favourite of mine but i think its safe to say that (for me) it has gone downhill slightly.

For entree we had the grilled sausage plate which was quite nice. We also ordered a fetta bowl and a bowl of olives. The size was very disappointing. About a quarter of the size they used to be ($5 per bowl)

My main was rolled chicken filled with ham and cheese with a creamy champagne sauce. The chicken was very tough. The serving of vegetables was very small. Two miniature pieces of broccoli, 2 pieces of carrot, piece of potato and 2 small pieces of squash (im talking like 10cent piece sizing!). The other dishes at the table were also deemed "okay" but nothing special.

Cafe Bellini used to be a restaurant i would be very excited going to but now i would rather go try somewhere else. i think the restaurant now "rests on its laurels" somewhat and thinks that people will come back no matter what.

The ambience is still really nice though and the service is very good.

Bellini serves up some delicious offerings - their woodfired pizzas are especially tasty. My favourite is the Bellini Special, which just melts in your mouth!

The restaurant is quite casual, staff tend to chat and lounge around a bit but are also friendly and helpful. This place is owned by an Italian family who sometimes congregate at a table and chat.

Prices are reasonable and servings generous.

Caffe Bellini offers excellent take away service such as pasta and wood fired pizzas. The pasta is freshly made and just like Mama Italiano would like it. The pizzas are wood fired and delicious. Try the Bellini Special!
