Belmont Tavern

Silks Bar & Bistro, inside the Belmont Tavern has acquired a very skilled chef in Christophe Jerome. Modern Australian food mixed with French styles bring a new element to dining out at a pub. The surf & turf and lamb shanks take on a richer flavour than usual, which goes down very well with many wines from their extensive winelist.

  • Brilliant service. We had a group of twenty that attended Sunday afternoon 29/11/09. The service was second to none. Young Beck (waitress) is a huge asset to silks, friendly and on the ball.

  • Out 20 people in our group, not 1 person had a bad word to say about Silks. We went for the full menu and I must say less than $50 per head (excluding drinks) not 1 person left feeling hungry. Beautiful all round experience. Well done Silks.

  • Dined at Silk's in Belmont Tavern. Went along for a quick lunch last week, decided to make it a long one. Menu was pleasantly surprising. Garlic Prawns for entree and a grand rib eye for lunch.

Glass of red went down well and noticed the cocktail menu for next time.

Staff were friendly, one rather funny made the day enjoyable, and service great. Got to comment though air con not good on a hot day. Felt sorry for the staff, ended up sitting outside for coffee even though it was 38 outside, seemed much cooler than inside.

Would recommend the place, if they get new air con it would be an even greater place to hang out in summer really great lunch. Def going to try dinner one night with the hubby!!!

Noticed Dress code applies to Belmont, about time someone stepped up the standards.

  • This one is a gem of the suburbs. Funky atmosphere and one of the most consistent places to eat a good steak cooked to perfection. The menu has something for everyone and a few things to surprise you too.

I hadn't been in a while but really enjoyed my meal.

They are Gold Plate contenders again.........Good luck

  • Went along expecting "pub grub" and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and standard of the meal, herb crusted lamb was sensational. Will definitely make another visit. Congratulations to the chef
