Black Swan Winery & Restaurant is the Swan Valley's premier wine and dining experience. This world-class venue was designed by owners Barry Scrivener and Robyn Meloury with the sole purpose of taking in the breathtaking panorama, with floor to ceiling uninterrupted views of the picturesque surroundings. Food:
The food was wonderful, we could not fault our meals. The entrees especially were unique and full of flavour. I had to thrice - baked goats cheese on tomato, and my husband had the asparagus with hollandaise (chef's hollandaise, and was amazing) mains were the salmon dish and the vegetarian past, both lovely. Only fault would be the lack of vego options for mains, however they do not advertise as vego. Service:
Very good, well staffed, very friendly. Only fault of the night was the staff member dedicated to "filling up water glasses" - constantly interupting us to ask to refill. Just refill!! They were very polite, but the interruption got a bit much. Ambience:
Lovely, as it always is here. Not too croweded, beautiful setting on a wide deck overlooking the vineyards. Fantastic at night or in the daytime. There is a grassed area also. If it was fully booked I could see it possible being a bit noisy, as there was not much to soak up the noise. Overall:
We had a lovely meal. Cost was good - we ordered 2 entrees ( both vego), 2 mains (one vego) one dessert and one bottle of Black Swan wine, all for $135.00. We thought this was very reasonable. They let us take away our dessert too!
