Catching up with my good friend Kefka, I'd been meaning to check out Bliss for ages and never got around to it till now.

The decor is simple and not tacky nor too Spartan. One might wonder why there is paper stuck to the back of all the chairs, apparently there to cover up an old logo.

I was quite impressed by the sheer number of choices available on the menu. Although most of the variation comes from different sauces and your choice of meat rather than much variance in ingredients, but who cares, as long as it tastes good! As the name suggests, most dishes are noodles, although there are also rice dishes and mains dishes available.

The lunch specials are smaller and much cheaper versions of the regular menu, with most of the noodle dishes available. I chose to go with the coconut peanut sauce with chicken and hokkien noodles. We also shared the tempura squid and spring rolls for entrees. The noodles were ok, I wasn't overly impressed by the huge florets of cauliflower and broccoli, they could have been cut up a bit smaller to more manageable pieces. The sauce was different though, and I quite enjoyed the flavour it gave to the dish. The tempura squid was nice, though essentially it was just battered calamari. The spring rolls were very good, made with prawn and chicken and quite fresh.

We seem to have come on an off day for the staff though, as our meals took well over half an hour to appear, with other diners getting their meals before ours. I suspect they may have been giving us a gap between entree and mains but 30 minutes is a bit drastic for lunch, especially when entree was shared between three people and really was just something to chew on while we waited.

Still, at less than $15 each for food and drinks, I can see why this place is so popular with the nearby uni students.

I have found my new fave place to eat!!!

I just got home from having a fantastic dinner here at Bliss and i will be back, where do i start?

For entree we had the sharing plate so to say, made with homemade pastries and delicious dipping sauces. They were fresh, hot and plentiful!

Then for our mains i had the seafood, peanut and coconut dish. This was so big i could only eat half, the vegetables were perfect, crunchy and chunky and fresh. All served with a tower of rice, My friend enjoyed his duck curry, which also was large and piled with fresh crunchy veges.

Although we were full we had to try the fried ice cream, it was the biggest ball of icecream i have ever seen, smothered with a yummy warm coconut sauce.

All up it was about eighty dollars and we had a couple of drinks too, the hardest part was deciding what to eat as the menu was soooo big.

As for service, one of the girls was outstanding. Her service was quick and friendly and she changed our carafe of water when it was empty without us having to ask and paid attention to us when she could see we wanted something. The other girl looked like she didnt know what a smile was so we were glad she didnt look after our table.

I was able to take home what i couldnt eat, and i didnt even have to ask, the waitress offered to put it into a container for me, how nice and observant of her i thought.

I will be telling all my family and friends about this new little diamond in the rough, they do lunch specials and special packs too.

Do yourself a favour and go there!!!!!

Love noodle bars.

Went here and got takeaway after perusing though the web site looking for something close, cheap, healthy and at a good price.

We ordered the chicken spring rolls and fresh vermicelli rolls for entrée. They were both very tasty albeit quite standard.

For mains I went for the schezwan chicken udon, which had a generous amount of chicken and omelette, thick fresh noodles and a nice little chilli kick. My lovely boyfriend ordered the bliss crunchy noodles with beef; this had a great combo of vegies and loads of beef which went down very well.

Both were very tasty, I would say that mine had a bit of oil in it but nothing too overpowering. All up a very satisfying visit; especially since we both had enough left over for lunch the next day as well. Bargain!

Last night I went to Bliss with my Mum and my sister.

I was impressed straight away when I called up and the lady on the phone asked me if I had been there before. I said no, so she informed me the restaurant was BYO only. This was nice as I find most places just leave you to assume.

We arrived at 7.00 and were shown to our good sized table straight away. The restaurant was 3/4 full but didn't seem too crowded.

For starters we shared a plate of the Pandan Chicken (4 pieces of char grilled chicken wrapped in pandan leaves ) - Delicious! The chicken was so tender and the aroma and flavours were strong without being overpowering.

For mains I had the Cashew Nut Chicken Wok, and the other dishes were the Mongolian Sauce with chicken and udon noodles and Cho Chee Duck Breast in a mild coconut cream curry sauce. We tried a bit of each dish and it agreed that all were of very high quality, but the Cho Chee Duck was the real standout.

Servings were large and all dishes came with a good amount of meat and fresh vegetables. All dishes come with noodles or rice. Prices are very good and the range for a main was from $12 - $20. The menu is VERY extensive which was great because I will definitely be going back to Bliss so I can try a lot of the other dishes.

Service was also great. Water bottles were refilled without asking and food bought out in a very timely manner. The restaurant was busy from the moment we arrived to the moment we left (7 - 10pm) and there was a lot of people who came to get takeaway as well.

I highly recommend Bliss if you want a casual Asian dining experience with lots of healthy options available and a pleasant ambience.

I reviewed this place a while ago after going for lunch... now I've been for dinner, and I thought I'd review it again. I'm glad to say that all the good things in the original review still stand.

The service was excellent - prompt and friendly, and the water bottle was replaced the moment it got empty every time, without having to ask.

The restaurant is stylishly decorated in a modern way, but still a bit small - the tables are quite close together, which may be off-putting to some people.

All the food was great - delicious, good value, fresh, and nicely presented (which is quite hard to do with noodle dishes). Under $50 for two meals and two entrees...

Again, hard to fault. :)

A couple of friends took me here today for lunch and DAMN - It's great!

Very clean place, nice casual atmosphere, quick service (well, it was a quiet Tuesday afternoon...), and best of all good food at a low price!

We each had a meal from the lunch specials - each under $10.
The serves were very generous and fresh, with good quality ingredients - All cooked to perfection and full of flavour...

I really can't fault the place. Some dishes are apparently pretty spicy, but you can just ask for them mild or with no chili if that's not your thing...

Given that it's only 5 minutes from my uni campus, they'll definitely be seeing me again!

Great noodle place/eatery

i'm a bit tired, so i'll break it down quickly

- good prices (my dish was $13) and very large serving
- very fresh food, extremely tasty. the meat was perfectly tender and tasted of high quality
- low oil content for an asian noodle bar
- BETTER than RED ROCK (if you have been to red rock)

Id probably put this place on par with, or slightly better than the noodle place in subiaco (Perth noodle house) I think its called

overall, I'd definately go back again, if I felt like forking out 13$ + drinks for noodles
