Overall:
Having recently had lunch here with a friend I found the cafe style food was well presented, and more importantly tasted good. I opted for an old favourite 'caesar salad' with the chicken option, while my friend had indian style chicken kebabs. I often think twice about ordering a caesar salad as so many cafes opt for a more mayonnaise tasting dressing, which tends to be sweet rather than the sharper taste I prefer. While this is not the very best dressing I have ever had, I was very pleased it was not the mayonnaise style and it complemented the rest of the salad (which was crisp and very fresh, no limp lettuce here).

The cafe is well laid out and the large glass windows give you the feel of being part of the coastline outside without the impact of the weather. Although I did find that the hard floor surfaces and surrounds created a lot of echo and background noise and I could imagine that in winter it could feel very cold and maybe a little uninviting.

The wait staff knew the menu well, although I was taken aback when I was asked if I "had been specialed" and it took me a moment to work that one out. The service was attentive, but not in your face, and they were happy to accommodate special requests like "can I have the dressing separate to the salad" and can we "share a glass of wine".

Would definitely come back here to try a few of their other items that are quite different to other cafe fare, and I think having breakfast here could be very pleasant too. The pricing is good for this style of cafe, but make sure that you have change if planning to share the costs as there is no split billing.

Overall:
Lazy Anzac breakfast....requirements...bacon and eggs, ocean views, good company, excellent service.

So off to the Bluewater Cafe we go. We both ordered the Bluewater big breakfast with scrambled eggs. Mine with a skinny flat white, his with a banana smoothie.

Coffee = Eye opening strong.
Banana Smoothie = Sweet and smooth.
Breakfast = Massive serving of beautiful quality ingredients. Consisting of scrambled eggs, a herb sausage, bacon, tomato, potato rosti, toast and a mountain of mushrooms. I couldn't even finish mine.
Absolutely fabulous.

The staff were very friendly, professional, happy and attentive.

All in all a really great experience. And I am now writing this review 6 hours after and I am still not hungry so for $54 (inc public holiday surcharge)it was well worth it. :)
