Food:

Popped in for an impromptu weekday lunch. Was pretty quiet despite the sunshine - just us and 2 other tables. The mushroom risotto was very nice and the serving was massive. I would have been happy with half of the serving. Pleasant tasting and filling but nothing that blew my socks off. We also ordered a pizza which was quite delicious - roasted eggplant and ricotta (I think) - gobbled up in next to no time. Reasonably priced.

Service:

Prompt, friendly, efficient. Nice warm welcome which is always noted and appreciated. If I had to nitpick - we could hear pretty much every word from the kitchen area... That might have been because of the empty restaurant - did provide for a bit of amusement though.

Ambience:

I liked the availability of take home goodies by the entrance. Staff also made the place warmer than it seems. The restaurant space itself seemed a bit odd though - dark, too many hard surfaces, empty shelves, random shelves, sections strangely segregated etc. Again, maybe we went on the wrong day.

Overall:
Tiny nitpick again - but the toilets needed a good cleaning. Again, maybe we chose the wrong day. Nice place for a random lunch though. Was pleasant enough but not sure if I'd go back. Worth a try if you haven't already.

Food:

I ordered the Penne Amatriciana (penne, bacon, onion, in a mild tomato chilli sauce), and my partner ordered the Chicken risotto special (rice, chicken, spinach, pinenuts and fetta) - and both dishes were very served promptly, and were extremely tasty. I would say the dishes were amongst the best we have tasted of this type.

Service:

We went to Cafe Bellissimo on a Tuesday night, and surprisingly, the place was quite busy. It appears that many diners were taking advantage of the Tues night pasta and pizza specials. The noise level is high in the cafe, when its full or nearly full. The service was good, we were seated and attended to quickly, and were given the menu, and water, and asked if we wanted drinks, which we ordered. The drinks appeared rapidly, and we were left to peruse the menu. There were two waitresses on duty and both were quite pleasant, and both returned within a reasonable period of time to take our orders.

Ambience:

The noise level is high, and tends to destroy any ambience the cafe might have. Attention to sound-deadening materials would help.

Overall:
Very good food, service was entirely satisfactory, and the pricing is reasonable. We would return .. but we wouldn't go in, if the place is very busy .. because the noisiness of the cafe when full or nearly full, takes away from the ambience, and makes the dining experience much less pleasant.

We went to Cafe Bellissimo on a busy Wednesday night. As soon as we were seated, we thought it was very noisy and the music was blending in with the sound bouncing off the walls and floors.

The Cafe was very busy for a school night and staff were running around but not doing much serving. We were served and our meals came out on time however unfortunately very ordinary.

The ambience really killed our experience at this restaurant. The music was too loud and there seems to have been little thought in the placement of tables and the decor to reduce the noise.

Overall:
We went to Cafe Bellissimo on a busy Saturday night, we had booked prior to arriving but on arrival found out that a table had not been set aside for us. The staff were great and quite quick in fixing the problem and we were soon seated.

We received menus and water quite quickly, however that was it for about 1/2 an hour. After 30 minutes of sitting, making 'please serve us eyes' at any wait staff that passed us we finally got served, once we did order the food came very quickly and was very good. The bruschetta was tasty but needed a bit of seasoning or balsamic on the tomatoes to give them a bit of flavour, the Salsiccia sausage was very tasty. For mains we had the Bella Napoli pizza - very good, lots of topping, and the lamb cutlets - also tasty but to make them seem larger the outside fat layer was still attached. The food overall was very good.

The service was a little lacking, yes it was a very busy Saturday night but after we got our main course no-one came back to see us.. We did not get offered coffee until we were getting ready to leave which was a good 20minutes after we finished our main meals.

When we did get served the wait staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. Yes, I would go back.
