This is a great suburban restaurant, more part of Midland than the Swan Valley. It's not well publicised, but it is fully licensed with a small but acceptable range of WA wines on the list. Yes, we would go there again.

  • Entrees excellent; mains very good. as others have commented, the servings are substantial, so we didn't get to the dessert menu. Menu is a little stuck in the seventies - garlic bread, bruscetta, pepper steak and a range of pastas. However the food is very, very good.

This is a great place to eat. Recently I was diagnosed gluten & dairy intolarant, I am looked after, Brian makes sure I do not eat anything I shouldn't and they even adapt recipies so I can still have desserts, so yuummy.

Cheap, busy place suited to large family groups - it has a large varied menu. The cavernous room was 3/4 full, so they are obviously fulfilling demand in the area. Won't be returning though.

  • If you want large serves, good value, homestyle cooked stuff like steak, chips & salad, pastas, garlic prawns, then this is the place for you! It is not fine dining, and doesn't pretend to be. Wine list is mainly Swan Valley, and very reasonably priced. Our Salt and Pepper squid entree was tasty, but batter slightly too heavy. My husband's steak was huge but stringy. My garlic prawns were plentiful, and sweet, the sauce was a bit bland. Our friends enjoyed their pasta dishes

  • There is no ambience. The room is huge, brightly lit with fluorescent lighting, and has painted brick walls. If we hadn't been with friends who had made the booking, I would have left immediately, without looking at the menu. It urgently needs some subdued lighting and strategic partitioning.

Chances of me going back - very poor.Chris's Diner was excellent but when these eating places take over they always seem to go down hill as they change menu's to fancy type stuff thinking everyone eats fancy - good old fish and chips for me and it is hard to find any place that does decent fish these days. Most people would like this place food wise but not for me at least i can tell my friends i tried it and they can form there own opinion.

  • After recommendations from friends I took my wife there last night our 38th wedding anniversary.
To start we had Garlic Bread around $5 - $6 and got 3 small bits of bread between 2 of us - not 4 but 3 - poor value for money.
Our main means were good - my wife really enjoyed hers while I thought mine was OK because the steak was a decent size but far from well done like I asked.
For desert I had a banana split - when it was served it looked great.
When I went to eat it I discovered it was actually 90% cream very little ice cream - the topping and nuts were on the cream and i hate cream - fortunately my wife ate the cream along with the topping and nuts - I was very disappointed - worst banana split I have ever had - wasted $7.50

A great evening. We are thinking of having our staff Christmas dinner there, thats 50 staff and their partners, we wouldnt be doing that if we didnt rate Cafe D'Vine a good evening out. The food is magic, theres lots of choice, the staff and management know what they are doing.

  • My daughter organised with the help of management to have my 60th at Cafe D'Vine, she was able to pick a menu for my guests at a very reasonable price per person. The food was plentiful and very good. I had steak and it just melted in my mouth. All my guests were impressed and many have been back. I go back Saturday night with friends.

  • We went to Cafe D'Vine last night for dinner.
We are both gluten intolerant and were happy to find that they cater for people like us.
All I can say is the food was Fantastic and the service was great, a very well run restaurant and a pleasurable eating experience.
We had the garlic bread and salmon steaks.
Thank you for a great feed!!!

Overall a little gem tucked away on the edge of the Swan Valley. Very good value for lunch and the dinner menu looks just as good. We've been told that you have to book if you want to experience dinner, which is something we intend to do in the very near future

  • We decided to have lunch at Cafe D'Vine on a whim. We had been told about it by friends and decided to give it go.

We ordered from the Lunch Menu. our table ordered, an Old Fashioned Steak Sandwich, Frittita of the day and Fish of the day (Dhu Fish). One of our diner's has an allergy to garlic and the staff ensured that sauce for the fish was omitted. My Frittita was warm and very tasty with a large serving of potato wedges and salad. The steak was tender and came w ith lashings of onions, wedges and salad. The fish was cooked beautifully.

I recently organised a surprise 40th for my husband at Cafe de Vine. We had 20 guests arrive for the evening and not one complaint at the end of the night. The management and staff were helpful and attentive without being obtrusive, the restaurant and tables were tastefully decorated and the food very tasty, well presented and plentiful. In the past we have had meals out where we have had to stop somewhere on the way home to "top up" but this was not the case after our meal at this restaurant. I work in the food industry so can be a bit pedantic about things like spotless cutlery and food not being the correct temperature. I could not find one thing to pick on here and will return without hesitation.
