The menu didn't have anything overly appealing on it but because we were drinking we felt it would be good to eat something so we ordered 3 pizzas, the Italian, Meat lovers and Thai Chicken. The Italian Pizza was the stand out the others were just all right.

Service was friendly and prompt.

Ambience:

We sat outside in the rear courtyard, I haven't been here for some time (since I was a child) it has changed but some of the old original charm is still in place. The chairs out side were very comfortable.

Overall:
Rather expensive for a cafe, but nice just the same.

Overall:
Cafe Pronto, a little slice of heaven on Earth.

It was the weekend the locals like to don "Crab Fest" on my way back to base camp with a very special someone; who I had been trying to impress all weekend suggested that we stop for some coffee and "cake" at one of the cafe's; our choice Cafe Pronto.

Walking in my first impressions of the cafe were of a cosy winter night in front of the fire place having a glass of red whilst listening to some 60's classics. This cafe had it all; atmosphere, entertainment, winner of the best barista of 2007, friendly staff, interesting presentation and great tasting food.

I wouldn't change the experience that night for anything in the world.

All in all it was crabtastic!

strolling down the terrace we thought that we would try the newly renovated pronto's.
with some friends in tow we thought we would give it a go.

it wasnt the same enclosed premise we had all previously known, its now very open and bright, but not too bright.

for a weekday night there were more patrons than we had expected.
we had prompt service with the drinks.

after ordering it didnt take too long to have our starter of a seafood platter. we were all very impressed and surprised of the serving. and when you have great calamari you remember it.....

the mains were of a generous serve. two of us had the surf n turf, it was a great cut of meat and generous turf on top, cooked the way we like it.

one steak with pepper sauce was also a good cut and cooked to liking.
and the lamb shanks were a huge serve, falling off of the bone and a great flavour with the mash, yummo.

we were too full to even consider deserts.
