Our second visit here, and again we had the seafood platter for two ($80). Nothing on it was deep fried! There were local oysters - au naturel; cold whole prawns, warm local yabbies, grilled fish in beurre blanc, grilled scallops in a citrus sauce; and lightly floured calamari; served with chips and a salad. It was all extremely tasty, and very well presented. We also had garlic bread - 4 pieces for $5.50, and it was so good I could hardly bear to eat it because then it would all be gone!
Service was good - the waitress checked we were happy with our meals; water and ice bucket were provided.
In summer this is THE best location in Albany, right on Middleton beach. In winter it is dark outside, so no view. However the restaurant has some lovely artworks on the wall - fish, marine style etc, and several aquariums with interesting fish that are so brightly coloured they look fake!
Overall:
A good menu with quite a few things for the non sea food eater. Some of the mains are on the pricier side for Albany, but good size portions and beautifully prepared food.
