The food was really tops and a pleasant surprise. We found it through this website and were very happy to work out that the reviews were genuine and very accurate. The food is great and the servings were spot on!

You get free soup and it is delicious...so unless your heavily malnourished, I would recommend having a entree main, the soup and the yummy bread! I had the veal parma with ham & veg, my ma had a wonderful meat ravioli with mushrooms and cream sauce and my partner had marinara - all delectable!

They timed the food well too so that you had adequate breaks in between to work up a hunger! great experience....

Service:

Very efficient and despite the relaxed dress code of the staff (which we loved), they are all over things in here with service and even keep a few tables free of bookings for walk ins - which I always like!

Ambience:

Real basic decor - almost Russian in appearance for some reason, but we're suckers for basic restaurants and wonderful, well priced food!!! Very non-pretentious and that's the way we like it!

We started with the complimentary Italian bread and butter as we contemplated the basic but extremely enticing menu. Nothing fancy here as far as food goes but something for everyone I would think. My wife ordered the four cheese pasta. That arrived in a standard spaghetti bowl with ample selection of the four cheeses as promised she did add some freshly grated parmesan.I ordered the scaloppini cooked in white wine and spaghetti bolognaise. The scaloppini was both tender and extremely tasty. It melted in the mouth and the white wine sauce added a lovely tang. The bolognaise was a little disappointing as the sauce seemed a little lacking in flavor. It was a very enjoyable meal that didn't leave us over full.

Service:
The bread was brought to the table along with a bottle of chilled tap water as soon as we had seated. the water was replaced without asking as soon as it was empty. Overall service was very pleasant and professional.

Ambience:
Pleasant but plain

Overall:
The large potions cost approximately five dollars more then the small serve. Very enjoyable meal. I will be going back for more

Generous serves, well-prepared and tasty. Italian bread and butter was supplied while we waited for our meals, and an unusual gesture of complimentary Italian soup was offered with every main course. Extensive menu of old favourites served with vegetables or salad. I''d definitely go back

Service:

Excellent service from the waitresses, who were patient, friendly & non-intrusive. They would have been better to have had a basic 'uniform' or to have dressed up a little, as I felt a little let-down by the very casual dress-sense of the waitstaff, while the patrons had made the effort to dress up

Ambience:

Great old-world style ambience! I was extremely pleased with the decor and lighting, it was almost a 'step-back-in-time' feel. I am so over these modern-styled restaurants with young and hip staff who are in their own world and where the music is irritatingly loud.

Overall:
This is an extremely well-patronised restaurant, so bookings are essential. The patrons were older Italian-Australians, which is a good indication that the authenticity and popularity of the restaurant was good. I would definitely go again.

I had the pleasure of having my first dining experience here on a Sunday evening not too long ago! The vibe was very friendly - it appears a lot of the customers were 'regulars'! This can only say one thing. I was told to expect a wait on the food, but arrived quicker in comparison with other restaurants. The food was all very tasty. The ravioli dish had the best sauce I have tasted, while the chips & salad were fresh and delicious. If you are looking for place to eat on the bustling South Terrace strip in Fremantle, then defiantly don't walk past Capri. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

This place has been here for many years and we walked pass it so many times but never walked in to try. We decided to give this place a go the other night. Only 6pm and it was buzzing with people. We managed to get a table and we were given water and bread immediately - fantastic service!

I ordered mixed seafood on skewers and my partner had grilled fish of the day which was John Dory. All the mains come with complimentary soup which was minestrone that night. It was hot and delicious. Our mains came shortly after we finished the soup. My seafood on skewers was very well grilled, juicy and scrumptious! My partner's grilled fish was also equally yummy!

The decor and the furniture is nothing flashy. However, the food is divine! Service was good. There were many people got turned away because it was full. We noticed around Freo that many restaurants had closed down since we were last there many months ago and the reason Capri has been here for many years is because of its delicious yummy food!! How many restaurants/cafes in Perth would give you bread for free? We definitely will be back for MORE! :)

Don't be put off by initial impressions - behind the dated decor and rather drab frontage you will find a real taste of Italy. You will hear more customers speaking Italian here than anything else.

So go there and relax - the food isn't quick to come out of the kitchen but it is worth waiting for. Enjoy the delicious fresh bread while you wait and soak up the atmosphere. This is just like a provincial Italian restaurant.

The food is simple but good. We had pasta with four cheeses and veal in maderia sauce. Both were well cooked, plentiful and rich in taste. The food was served with a bowl of mixed vegetables, cooked crisp -just as we like them.

The complimentary soup is a nice (and typically Italian) touch.

We haven’t tried the steaks, but one of my work colleague’s claims that the best steak in Fremantle is to be found here.

Mains $15 - $20. Deserts $6 - $10. No license so BYO.
