Overall:
I ate at this restaurant last night and was quite disappointed considering I was really looking forward to eating some quality food and enjoying some time with my partner.

I was disappointed from the moment I walked in the door. The decor was quite dated and there were already tacky plates on the tables with pictures of seafood on. The menu also appeared to be a bit of a cut & paste job with pieces of paper glued to other pieces of paper to create the menu.

The waitresses did not advise us of the specials, the fish of the day or the price of items marked 'M.P.' on the menu. Perhaps we should have asked for these but it would have been nice if they were volunteered.

Despite being very quiet when we arrived (we booked for 6.30pm) it took quite a while for the waitresses to take our orders (& we were starving so this was more of an issue than it would normally be).

The woes continued when we were presented with canapes before the meal. I was happy that we got the canapes, but then after tasting them felt even more worried about what was to come as they were tasteless and I wasn't sure why a chef would send them out as a tempter...

The food continued to be unimpressive. We had some garlic bread which was soggy, I had a goats cheese souffle for entree which was again on bizarre crockery and definitely wasn't anything special, my partner had the seafood chowder which he didn't eat all of so I guess wasn't very nice. Then I had the crispy salmon for a main which was probably the highlight food wise for me but still wasn't overly impressive. My partner had the deboned lamb shanks but it was quite fatty and he had to leave a lot of it to the side. I also felt the food was quite over-priced for what it was, with entrees averaging the early $20s and mains averaging mid $30s.

So basically, I don't recommend the place!
