- I had the Gnocchi for an entree while my partner had the scallops. Both were quite nice. For mains, i had the chicken and my partner had the rabbit pie. I found my chicken quite nice and well cooked. As far as i am aware my partner enjoyed the rabbit pie.

- Service could have been better. We were right near the kitchen, which didnt bother us, but because they walk right past us all the time, you would think it would have been easier to get a drink refill! A meal that took 2 hours with only 3 drinks between us is pretty bad. They need to work on this!

- Lovely old cottage, very cosy and not a very loud restaurant considering how the tables are crammed in there.

- Unfortunately the service ruined it for us. Would have been a nice meal otherwise and we have high hopes for Subiaco restaurants. We wont be going back unfortunately.

- The chef was trained under Marco Pierre White and you can certainly see his influence in the menu. For entree I couldn't go past the crab spaghettini after being told that the chef used to make it at Altos. I was a huge of fan of this dish in Alto days and it was every bit as good as I remember. Just divine. The tasting plate was another stand out. Steak with bernaise for mains was perfectly cooked and the chocloate fondant for dessert was heavenly! My Mum had the lamb which she loved and the rasberry tart with liquorice icecream which she's still talking about. Definitely fine dining.

- The service is here is excellent. After being warmly greeted on arrival our waitress took special care looking after my grandmother and sat us at a table near the front where she would have plently of room. Glasses were kept topped up all night and allowances made for one guest's seafood allergy.

- The restaurant is actually set inside an old Subi house and so has a small and cosy feel. Brightly painted walls and art give it a more modern feel.

- Overall I really enjoyed my evening at Chapter One. The staff were friendly and professional and went out of their way to make our evening an enjoyable one. For a five star restaurant they had a good selection of wines at reasonable prices which was also appreciated. If nothing else I'll be going back for that crab spaghettini as soon as possible!!
