The food was delicious. I had the venison as I had never tried venison before and it was a house specialty. My partner had the orange duck. Both were presented beautifully. My partner's duck was even served up at the table, silver service style. The roasted caremelised beetroot and carrots really added flair to the dishes although my potato stack

I will say that if you want genuine French cuisine, Foie Gras, roast duck and the whole works, definitely give this place a chance. The food is gorgeous and decadent and rich. They serve traditional food, as authentic as any I've tasted on my travels. Even Cassoulet (native to Carcassone) which i would have tried but knew I would have to pay for it later. Besides, I'm a desert kind of girl, so that's where I tend to load up on the kilojoules!

Service:

This is the only restaurant Ive been to in Perth where they have a staff member meet your car and direct you to a chosen car park space. This was just the start of the polite courtesy shown to us by those at Chez Pierre...The staff are genuine, unobtrusive, though attentive and definitely FRENCH!

Ambience:

Its not a small place by any means, but still happens to be intimate and cozy and the place doesnt echo like some Ive been too. I think that its a popular place for locals because, even though I hadnt heard much of the place, by 9pm it was packed!

Overall:
I must admit on driving past this place on Stirling Highway a few times I was wondering what was a restaurant doing seemingly in the middle of nowhere. (its located in amongst a lot of furniture shops)
But we booked anyway, for my birthday, just for something different as normally eat mostly Italian fare.
Anyway, to sum it up, I loved it! Ill be back for sure.

Food:

Each dish on the new winter menu was well described, classic, authentic French cuisine, using seasonal ingredients. Whilst waiting for our entrees (scallops with pork belly & salsa verde, and risotto with prawns) a delicious complimentary french onion soup arrived, which explained why my favourite French dish was not on the dinner menu. After entrees we were treated to a palate cleansing raspberry sorbet bathed in sparkling white wine. Main course for us was a rabbit pie, which was unexpectedly assembled at the table with silver service, and a gorgeous cassoulet of duck, sausage and pork belly with white beans. Unfortunately we didn't have room for the flambe crepes, cooked at the table, but enjoyed a selection of cheeses instead.

Service:

Outstanding. Each member of staff was efficient, knowledgeable and experienced, yet still offered personalized service. On request wine was recommended, and we did not feel hurried despite being the last table in the restaurant. The service didn't miss a beat.

Ambience:

Softly lit, beautiful and comfortable surroundings with plenty of room for staff to move around the floor. Crepes cooked at the table, and silver service of several of the dishes, made the dining experience a memorable one.

Overall:
Our dining experience this evening was one we will remember for a long time. Few dining establishments in Perth offer such a complete package without falling down in one area or another. Chez Pierre would certainly be amongst the top five dining experiences I've had in this town in the last four years.

I opened the menu at Chez Pierre expecting a bit of a suburban 'coq au vin' 70s French food selection, but no gymic food here. The food is a wonderful mix of traditional and sophisticated. starting with crusty french bread, we ordered some velvety home-made pate and (can't resist the traditional) escargot in garlic butter as a shared entree, but we were pleasantly surprised to receive a delicious complimentary small soup appetizer, and a lychee sorbet between entree and mains. Our 4 mains were nothing short of amazing. I Could not resist desert, despite being very full, but the chocolate crepes were well worth the extra exercise the next day for my indulgence. excellent flavours, best produce and quality workmanship went into these meals!

Service:

Service at chez pierre is traditional, professional, attentive and polished, including a parking attendant to open the door on the way in. The waitstaff and the Somelier were knowledgeable on their menu and excellent wine list. If anything, the service was a little fast, but no harm done

Ambience:

They have added light and freshness to the old venue of Eminem (though i loved the fit-out of eminem). The decor was a little uncreative for my tastes, but the soft furnishings and space between tables meant noise levels stayed at a minimum. music pleasant, but best suited to baby-boomers

Overall:
Excellent on their attention to detail, quality of food and service. Not the hippest place to go, but well suited to the older crowd of Nedlands. Very good value for money (four people had two entrees, four mains, two desserts and two very good bottles of french wine for just under $90pp) but pricey enough to make sure it is treated as a place to visit only on special occasions.
