The worst I have ever paid for. The garlic bread was coarse wholegrain and literally saturated in cheap oil. The bruschetta was the same garlic bread topped with raw white onion and bits of old tomato. My friend's steak tasted boiled rather than fried and was very tough. My scallop and abalone dish contained no abalone, the scallops tasted frozen and were overcooked. The mains do not come with any vegetables, so we ordered 2 serves. We got one bowl containing 2 florettes of over cooked cauliflower, about half a carrot sliced and covered in mustard, a hand full of sliced button mushrooms and one stalk of broccollini. To top it all off, they actually refused to give us a carafe of water.
Very very poor. Our waitress kept vanishing whilst we were trying to order and each time we had trouble getting her attention again. The owner or manager kept clashing things and making us jump and another waitress could not speak English.
Run down, television playing in entry, noisy clattering/breaking of crockery constantly
Overall:
I wouldn't go here again if you paid me.
The best thing about the food was the garlic bread - our entree of oysters kilpatrick were lukewarm and contained shell and grit, served on a bed of table salt. My main course seafood chowder was not the delicate dish I was expecting - it was also not that hot; instead it tasted strongly of the stock (prawn shell) with 1 prawn, 2 scallops and a small amount of fish. My husband had the sausages which were also not very hot, and similar to what you could purchase from the supermarket and make at home. We also ordered a serve of vegetables - were given 2 and then charged for them (even when we pointed out that we only ordered one) because there were 2 of us.
I think they were training new staff so the service was patchy. The service from the new staff was good considering they were learning. The senior staff spent most of the night arguing with the table behind us about their orders.
The restaurant was a little cold, and the constant "discussion" behind us between the table and the staff was a bit distracting.
Overall:
Disappointing - we were expecting SO much more after reading all about the restaurant. I would not go back.
For entree I had a small greek salad which was fresh and well dressed. My dining partner had garlic prawns which were so drenched in garlic sauce, I found them inedible (though he didn't mind). We both had the duck breast for mains, which was disappointing as the sauce was overly rich and the potato dry. The duck itself was average.
Classy yet homely and visually pleasing.

We used the entertainment card (which gives 25% off with a max of $30) so we were entitled to $30 off. Instead he took $25 off and charged us the credit card surcharge when we used debit. I asked him about this, and he got aggravated. I said I'd used a calculator and that wasn't correct but he continued to loudly disagree, refusing to double check. He said if we have a problem to call tomorrow and walked off. It was very rude.
Overall:
We arrived at 7pm to an empty restaurant but soon found places filling fast. I ordered the stuffed field mushrooms for entree which were the size of button mushrooms (x2)and served on a basic green salad. They were topped with fetta and breadcrumbs which was tasty but the size and simple 'aussie bbq' salad looked very unimpressive. I ordered the pork cordon blur for main, layers of succulent pork filled with ham, cheese then crumbed, topped with some sort of sauce. Not something I would normally order but it was sensational! Moist, tender, full of flavour. Overall a pleasant experience but I expected more.
