Food:

We started with the turkish bread & dips platter. They advised us that they had run out of bread but someone was running down to the shops to get some. When it came out it was brilliant. I had the chicken scalopine (pardon the spelling) and my partner had the risotto. Mine was gorgeous but I found his a little lacking in flavour. Another guest had the cannelloni (veg) and another had the veal scalopine. The sizes were HUGE. We shared the sticky date pudding for dessert which was amongst the best i have had and finished with coffees. My Baileys Affogatto was gorgeous!

Service:

Service was prompt and attentive. Even though they were busy, they never made us feel rushed.

Ambience:

It was very loud in the restaurant and I think this is probably the only down point to the night. The floor is wooden and the walls are concrete so everything echo's. Apart from that it had a family/friendly feel

Overall:
As we were meeting people who lived SOR (and we are NOR), checking Christina's out worked for us at the time. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back down there, but if we were already in that area I would definitely suggest going there!

I didnt think much of the garlic bread, thin slices with no colour from the grill and very little garlic, although the main meals were all great. I ordered the risotto, it had crunchy, fresh pieces of broccoli, heaps of chicken, slices of capsicum and garnished with parmesan. The consistency was perfect and the size large, it was really good. Other meals were tasty and mostly garnished with a salad and chips (pub style) but everything was very tasty.

Unfortunately i think their desserts let them down, just had a range of bought in cakes and the mud cakes we ordered were rather dry.

Service:

Service was fast and polite. They kept refreshing our water carafes which is rare these days but appreciated. They were well dressed and clean too. Black pepper was also offered.

Ambience:

It was really loud which was there fault but they put the tables and chairs really, really close together.

Overall:
If you are after something affordable and fast with taste then this place is it. It only has its usual dishes and a few specials but i would go back. I saw lots of dishes leaving the kitchen and they looked fabulous. They just need to improve the garlic bread and desserts.

This is one of my favourite Continental restaurants in Victoria Park!

Great service, excellent food, excellent menu - I only ever order the Lamb Shanks and Chilli Mussels because it's the best in Perth!

Well-priced and comfortable, professional ambience.

Definitely worth a visit if you want a good restaurant experience!

Despite being really busy on the Saturday night we went, the staff were prompt, helpful and never tardy in replacing empty water bottles. The meals were absolutely HUGE, probably unnecessarily so. Customers would probably appreciate better value for money with smaller, lower priced dishes. There were a number of large tables celebrating birthdays etc. when we went and it was annoying when the lights would get turned off when the birthday cake was brought out. It might be a nice touch for the person celebrating their birthday, but it left the rest of the diners in the dark and unable to eat their meals for a few minutes until the lights came back on. Overall though, this is a good, family restaurant for people with very hearty appetites.

Went to Christina's as a group of 9, the food was really good I had garlic prawns which were very nice. The food servings are quite large I ordered the entree size though.

Service was a bit slow but there were a few large groups all at the same time so it was understandable. But this made it very loud inside it wasn't easy to talk to people at the other end of the table to me.

Overall the food was nice and the service was polite. Recommend it for a nice night out.

I went to Christina's in a large group for my husband’s birthday in May. We chose Christina's as we had been several times before. We found the staff not able to handle a single group of around 40. I believe they should have advised me to go with a set menu for such a large group. We were very disappointed as we had always had brilliant service in the past.

We did return last Saturday for lunch for 4 people and with this the service was second to none. Always great food, massive serves and they will provide a container so you can take the rest of your dish home.

I do recommend Christina's for families but not large groups.

I went along to Christina's with a group of ladies for a Saturday lunch (We do this monthly). I had eaten there many times before but quite a while ago. My main memories was a plate full of gourmet lettuce leaves. Things haven't changed, they are doing the same old stuff along with the heavy handed gourmet lettuce leaves, (hopefully they have a rabbit out the back to eat what’s left on the plates). There was nothing outstanding on the menu, normal/average cafe style food. It was clean and tidy, wait staff offered minimal attentiveness. The desserts were very small serves, Our group always gets a few different ones puts them in the middle and share them. A tad disappointed in the sizing.

Overall it is just cafe style - gets by on it's long term reputation and local patronage.

I went there on a Saturday night for a friend's 30th birthday. The place was packed! The wait staff were very nice and attentive, even though they had a lot of big tables to look after. I couldn't believe the size of the meals - the portions were unbelievable! I had the Greek salad which was however, a little disappointing, as it was mainly mixed lettuce leaves. My friend had the salt and pepper squid which was a little tasteless as well. There were no complaints from any of the other diners at our table though. A great place to celebrate with friends. Probably not the best restaurant to go for a quiet meal.

Great food, great service.

This place really is a lot of fun. The food is plentiful (even for you bulimics out there) and the service is casual but spot-on. Some great dishes which make a nice departure from the basics.

It’s a casual, café style restaurant, but provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the company of your friends… and all the diners seem to be doing just that.

If it’s a quiet, candle lit romantic dinner you’re after then perhaps give this place a miss. But if you want a great night with good friends and wonderful food, look no further.
