Went to Cicconi's last night for dinner. I had the dorper lamb 2 ways, lamb cutlets on honey truffled mash/lamb & guiness pie and my partner had the beef fillet with sweet potato rosti. The servings were generous and both dishes were cooked very well. However for $35 a main it was extremely bland and under seasoned, it was frustrating to have to keep reaching for the salt and pepper every few minutes. It's a shame when the highlight of the meal was 4 huge slices of fresh, tasty garlic bread for $5.50.
The wait staff were polite and attentive.
Very nice ambiance - the decor was modern and contemporary. Lights are dim but not uncomfortably dark. I did notice there was no music playing which felt awkward when we first arrived as the restaurant wasn't full.
We'd never been to Cicconi's before but went on the recommendation of a friend. We were pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu - there's really something for everyone! Our food was excellent ... served hot. It was very tasty and we enjoyed it immensely. Especially the dessert - rich chocolate mousse encased in a chocolate shell. It was heaven for a serious chocolate lover.
The service staff were all friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They were attentive but no obtrusive ... which was appreciated. We had several questions about the menu and the wine list and the staff were able to answer our questions easily.
When we arrived the restaurant was relatively quiet, but as time passed more people began to arrive. This made it a little noisy but that's to be expected. We were still able to talk to each other without any trouble.
Overall:
We had a really good time dining at Cicconi's. We found it to be excellent value for money and we will definitely be back again.

Went with my wife to this restaurant for the first time on Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised with the extensive menu and the quality of the food which was served hot and in good time. The restaurant is a little noisy and made more so by some loud mouthed women at the back; they each brought a bottle of wine to the table and I doubt that any of them was capable of drinking more than a glass or 2. Service was good and not over attentive. We will return to this place and recommend that others try it.
Overall:
Cicconi's is a quiet, nicely decorated restaurant that is good for either a romantic dinner or a quiet family night out.
We have found the food to be quite good, pizzas and pastas are delicious. They have a gorgeous selection of freshly made desserts - don't miss their sticky date pudding with hot butterscotch sauce!
The staff have always been quick off the mark, friendly and helpful in our experience. This is a lovely place to go, but you will need to book on a Friday/Saturday night.
