Food:

Wife order the scallopini while I had the lamb fillet with sweet potato mash and orange jus.
Lamb was a bit overcooked and not very tasty, sweet potato mash had chunks of normal potato throughout, so it made the mash all lumpy, dont know why you would do that. The orange jus was bland and could hardly taste the orange in it.
Wifes scallopini she said the mushrooms were nice and the meat tender but with a salad and garnish on both dishes that was very pub style. Overall the dishes were more homestyle meals but unfortunately less than impressive and lacking in taste and anything special

Service:

Good attentive service. Our waitress was on her first night (and informed us) but seemed experienced , we found she was more friendly and showed better customer service skills than the other waitress who was showing her the ropes.

Ambience:

Bit of a mish mash of stuff here. Coke fridges in the corner, ice cream advertising on the front of ice cream displays mixed with some paintings for sale and other furniture. Almost looks more like a milkbar than somewhere you would go for dinner

Overall:
Wouldnt go here again. Lacked anything that would call for a repeat visit

We ordered take away chicken parmagiana (with chips & salad) and pasta carbonara. The pasta tasted and looked reasonable, but was very oily. The chicken and chips were served together in aluminium foil and the quality of these items matched their packaging. The chicken crumbing was dark brown and the chips not much better - they were badly overcooked. The chips were also soggy having been enclosed in the foil. Unfortunately, there was no redemption with the salad. The tomatoes were powdery and the lettuce dry and wilted. Overall, the chicken dish was awful and I threw it in the bin after eating about a third of it. My partner enjoyed her pasta.

The young waitress was efficient and responsive, but not very friendly.

Ambience:

We did not experience the ambience as we had take away, but the place looked clean, modern and appealing.

Overall:
Overall, this restaurant was disappointing. We will not be going back.

Overall:
Went there for lunch. The very limited menu mixed up breakfast and lunch fare, with most unappetising results. I had garlic beef that was served on dead looking lettuce with three huge chunks of bread. It was too salty and the garlic overpowered the meat to the extent that it could have been anything!

The restaurant was dark and dingy and the wait people minimally helpful. I won't be going back.

Had breakfast here on Saturday. Nice bright and inviting looking cafe on the vic park strip. Ordered the eggs deevine (poached eggs on sourdough with hollandaise sauce) and extra bacon. The eggs were hard which i didn’t enjoy. The coffee/juice was good. Service was friendly if a bit inexperienced. All in all it was an average breakfast but not unpleasant.
