Ambience: It was decorated in Balinese Style with handicraft lit up with small little candles around. Very romantic and cosy. The moment you walked in you could hear the Balinese music on the background. Felt like being on holiday in Bali.

Food: We ordered chicken satay, lumpia (Spring Rolls) and Fried Squid for entree. The chicken satays were delicious. Also loved the fried squid as they were so much nicer than the Italian style Calamari. For main we ordered grilled fish with Padang sauce, grilled prawns with secret sauce, spinach balacan and also beef rendang. All very nice indeed. Beef rendang was the best we had tasted. Even better than the one in Bali. The sauces were very delicious.

Service: Contrary to the review we read here, the service was excellent. We had a bottle of wine and they took the glasses out for us very quickly. Although the grilled food were a little bit slow, but then this is expected from any restaurant that serve grilled food. We will never go to Sandrino again as we have found Djimbaran which serves much better grilled food with their delicious sauces.

Would recommend Djimbaran Bali if you're looking for good authentic Indonesian food with ambience. They are different from other Indonesian joint like Sparrow or Manise. Djimbaran is definitely more suitable to wine and dine rather than just a place for a quick cheap meal.

Well done Djimbaran, we'll be back!

Not a bad experience, been there twice and now finally got a chance to write a review here.

Had been listening of some good review on Djimbaran Bali, but it is hard for me to try their food cos every time when i tried to dine in, they are close. Too bad for me that my eating time are not as usual as the others.

Ok, straight to the point. The first me and my friend went there, we had the lunch combo. I had the Nasi Lauk Fillet Bakar, which is a grilled fish fillet serve with steamed rice, i had it with the Djimbaran's padang sauce, i love it very much. The fish is very very tender and juice and the sauce is just no where you can find, i would really recommend this to ppl as it comes with friend bean curd and a small serve of salad too.

MY friend had the Nasi Ayam Tuturuga, which is the Djmbaran Chicken curry and mixed vegetables. We both found that this chicken curry has nothing special about, it is not bad, just average.

As for the second time, we had a try on the ala-carte menu. I would say the crispy friend squid is one of the best in town, it is better than those chinese yum cha place. The batter is as crispy as crackers and the meat of squid is just as tender as fairy floss, and you can't miss dipping into the Djimbaran special sauce, as though i am in Bali!!

For those who like spicy food, i reckon you could try the Ayam Penyet (friend chicken topped with their own special sambal) the sambal sauce is lovely though the serve of the chicken is a bit disappointing.

The food was good and we enjoyed it very much, though service is a bit slow and the knowledge of their menu from their waitress are not that full, but they give us good smile.

It was an enjoying moment, but the gado-gado that we ordered was a bit of a letdown, it was a huge serve but the peanut sauce wasn't up to the standard.

I wish their opening hours are longer though!

I come here regularly and that's because the food is always well prepared, delicious and consistent! Every time we come here for dinner or lunch the food always comes out the same, which cannot always be said for all places.

The food is the highlight of djimbaran bali. I've tried almost everything on their menu. The satay is very authentic and MUCH better than bibik chan's! Pretty much all the dishes are delicious - with exception to the soups. We usually order satay, lamb fried rice (It's delicious!!!), grilled fish and gado-gado (very gooood). Try the wantons, coz they're different from elsewhere and are pretty good.

Price wise, I think this restaurant is affordable. The quality of food surpasses what you'd expect from the restaurant. Ambience is nice, feels like you are sitting in a cave =P

The service has never been top notch but they are friendly and helpful. However, sometimes the place is crowded (coz word's has got out that the food is great!) and they will take some time to get the orders out. I wouldn't come here for a meal if in a rush! But the food is great and I will definitely keep on being a regular customer.

Food was tasty, but they had bad service.

Don't go there if you are in a rush. We had to wait almost an hour to get two dishes, when we asked for extra rice; we thought they had gone to cook our one serve. The glass they gave us was also dirty, and then it took them about 15 minutes to get us new, clean ones. The girls were polite, and the food was great, but everything was so slow!!!!
