Went for yumcha/dimsum last weekend, wanted to try out this new place. Overall the quality is above average, some dishes were exceptionally great. Really like their prawn & chive dumpling and their prawn & pork dumplings (siu mai), it is really good esp the one with chive. The sizes of dim sum are bigger than the usual one though, so i couldn't try all the dishes as was so full from those that we've tried. The DURIAN puff, is a must try for everyone out there, the pastry was flaky yet not oily and there is real DURIAN in it, I was surprised to find out.
A few let downs though, the scallop, corn & prawn dumplings wasn't that great, I couldn't taste any scallops but heaps of corn. Shark fin dumplings, maybe not for those who want to try real shark fin!
Service was great, comparing with other yum cha places. They do have a lot of staff in standard uniforms, they can all speak fluent English and was really efficient. I give 4 stars as i was annoyed by one of their top-up-hot tea staff, because he kept checking on our teapot every 2 mins.
Really nice decor, if people are looking for good and grand decor on a Chinese restaurant, this is the place to go. Seats and tables are quite comfortable. They do have a good set of crockery, didn't find any chipped plate or cups
Overall:
Nice experience, well done with food, efficiency and environment. Will want to try more dishes next time, can't wait to go back.
