Welcome to Ecco

A great place to either grab one of the seats outside and enjoy a coffee, or head inside this small cafe and grab a pizza or anything else on the surprising large menu.

We ordered a serve of arancini to share, and 3 pizzas amongst 4 of us. Pizza serves were generous - and we had excess food.

Arancini was crisp on the outside, without being oily, served with a tomato based sauce. The ecco special and the pumpkin pizza were standouts.

Service was efficient.

Ambience:

Modern decor, minimalist style. The back room can be loud with large crowds

Overall:
We will definately be back.

Had the Chrizo and Octopus to start, chrizo was cut quite thickly and pan fried - was wolfed down by my partener. The octopus is great mainly because unless you look really close you can't tell you are eating octopus which is good for someone like me. My partner had the Ecco special the most expensive pizza on the menu, its his fave. I had the Margarita with mushrooms, what I love most about Eccos pizzas is the woodfire taste and the use of fresh ingredients - they are also very traditional too.

We had no booking so sat outside - thankfully it wasn't a cold night. We were served promptly, our drinks coming out soon after we ordered them and starters following. When they are busy it can be hard to get the attention of wait staff.

I have come here twice in two weeks and have not been disappointed. We shall return.

Had a pizza and wood fired crispy octopus to share with my mate, the octopus turn out to be something really sensational, crispy on the outside and as soft as melt in the mouth on the inside, the level of flavour go through my palate as if I'm on a roller coaster, I'm supposed they braised and marinate their octopus before finish with cooking in the wood fired oven. Pizza was great too, nice thin n crispy base, have some texture to it but not too chewy.

Service was friendly, attentive but not interruptive

Ambience:

A very small little cafe, tables can be quite small and near to each other, but doesn't really matter as food is good

Overall:
Nice place to go in Subi and not costing too much too!

Stick with the pizza! We ordered a Calzone and the ravioli and both were well below par!! The Calzone was like a field of mushrooms! And the ravioli was very disappointing! Next time I would be getting a pizza for sure!

Service:

The service was good! They even let my partner BYO beer which was nice!

Great ambience. A little warm where we were but nice and cosy!

Overall:
I would go back and try the Pizza and fingers crossed its better than what we ordered!

I ended up in Ecco after a dreadful waiting experience at Funtastico across the road. We wandered in and found a cosy, friendly place that was happy to accommodate us. The pizzas are delicious and very generous. We've been back since another 2 times and each time we've found it to serve really delicious food at really reasonable prices. I'd recommend this place to anyone. It does tend to fill up quickly as it's quite small but we've always managed to squeeze in without a booking. The last time we went the 2 girls at the counter seemed a bit shaky and uncertain about what they were doing but it didn't really affect our evening.

Ecco, Ecco. This quaint little Italian place has a great deal to offer. Spending more lunches at Ecco than any other Subiaco restaurant, surely says a lot. The great, friendly nature of all their staff would almost be enough to put up with being served slops. But they don't.

Their genuine Italian cuisine has the home-made feel and with extraordinary taste. Popular amongst many of WA's celebrities, this little place is licensed, serves great food and coffee and always has a stream of extremely satisfied customers/friends coming and going.

I have gone much past the pizza, as yet, only because it is too hard to resist, but many a different wine have I consumed on the sidewalk while chatting to numerous patrons and passers-by.

It is THE ideal place for lunch, inside or out and you will find it hard to point out any blemishes in all that this little restaurant has to offer.
