Overall:
Going on holidays is great, but what usually lacks in most small holiday towns is a very good restaurant.
Most of the time you have to deal with the local fish and chips takeaway or the local tavern.
Echo Beach Bar and Cafe is a new and modern restaurant overlooking the murchison river in Kalbarri. The interior is comparable to places such as the Brisbane Hotel or Bar 183, and the staff are young and funky.
My partner and I ate there twice, once was for lunch were we ordered from the lunch menu, Myself having the chicken and asparagus pizza with salad, and my partner having the cabonara. Both meals were filling and very good.
At dinner we were lucky to get a table on the balcony as the sunset over the beach. We ordered the turkish bread starter, With my partner having a Reef & beef such dish, and myself with the dufish & Crab potato cake. The fish was cooked perfectly and my partner was very happy with his steak. The waitresses although very busy were still able to check up on our table refilling water as such when needed even having a few conversations with us.
We ordered desserts and coffee, which again were divine.
The only downside to our dining experience was sitting outside meant we had to deal with moths and other light attracted creatures. The light above out table drew them in and most landed on our table and in our drinks.
Also we ordered cocktails from the cocktail list, however the waitresses were too busy to make them, We did get an apology and 10% off our bill which was very good of them to do this.
Echo Beach Bar, is a great place to be, especially if you want to have a fine dining experience on your holiday, however it is still casual enough to walk in in your beach gear. I will definitely dine here again on my next trip.
