é cucina is Perth city’s most popular contemporary Italian restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday, é cucina continues to maintain its reputation for high standards in service, quality of food, premium wines and superior coffee.
Located on the corner of Hay and William Streets, overlooking leafy Central Park and the bustling daily pedestrian traffic, é cucina’s al fresco garden ambience is a popular lunchtime attraction. Inner-city dwellers and early workers are offered the choice of healthy or sumptuous breakfasts while industrious businessmen and women meet over coffee throughout the mornings and afternoons. Weekday patrons comprise mostly corporate clientele but evening dining is a little more relaxed. Mood lighting and table settings transform the restaurant into a romantic and peaceful dining experience where regular customers and newcomers sip premium wines and savour our Chef’s contemporary Italian fare.

We went to E Cucina for lunch on Friday 17th August. I often pass it on my way to work and thought must stop in for a meal. I went to lunch with my Father.The food was ok..nothing to rave about… however what actually got me was the price.. I was horrified!!!.. Because both my Father and I order the FOD there was no price stated in the menu..the waitress read the specials out and we both ordered the Fish..which was simple a panfried snapper with a Bok Choy chilli mix serves with Scallops.. I ordered mine without Scallops as I am allergic to shellfish.. mind you when they brought out the meals they brought mine with the scallops so had to be re-made..I wasnt too fussed about that..though came to pay.. my poor father I thought.. all we had for a Friday lunch on my hour lunch break was 2 x services of Fish(just Snapper) mine being without scallops(no discount off for having my without any) I had 1 glass of wine and my dad has a tea after his meal and the bill was over $93 I NEARLY CHOKED!!.. my Dad didnt really bat an eyelid..though I didnt care..that was a joke for a lunch meal.. the fish were over $40 that they stuffed up on..and very small serves.. I was expecting perhaps a nice casual classy cafe style lunch.. Fine dining restaurants dont charge that much for a piece of fish and if it they do its a much better quality one..
I certainly wont be going back in a hury.. not at those price... E Cucina.. think about tapering your lunch menu to not only a nicer lighter style meals though also slimming down your prices.

Overall:
Excellent location, excellent food and outstanding service.
Perfect for lunch or dining after work, e cucina is the best place I've eaten at for a while.
Not only are the staff polite and the decor inviting, but the coffee is probably the best I've had in Perth!
Food-wise, I would definitely recommend the calamari salad, delicious!
