  • The food was not much chop at all !!! We ordered tempura prawns to start off with which were really bland & tasteless followed by teriyaki chicken bento & wasabi beef bento. The salad on both consisted of the bitter heart of a iceburg lettuce with a dollop of strangely fermented cabbage???? Both meat dishes were ok !!! Have eaten much tastier food at food halls!!!

  • Overall will not be back again to this place & we both had a little chuckle to ourselves when we overheard the waiter tell a table of 7 that they only had 6wine glasses left. We were the only other 2 in there at the time!!!

  • Totally disagree with below coments!! Awesome food!! Not to mention their yummy Teppanyaki BBQ!! Bento is great also - in terms of authenticity, it is catered for the Australian taste - but hey, I dont see teriyaki chicken in Japan either!! And you are only paying $5.90!! what value for money!! If you want real Japanese - go and pay $3,000 and fly to Japan and have the real deal, because in Perth they are all Australian-Japanese food!!

  • I have been to Edo a few times and every time I have found the sushi to be delicious and the miso soup fantastic. I think the chicken they prepare in the meals is quite fatty though you can tell they aren't using the best quality meat.

    I have been to Edo three times for lazy Sunday eve...

  • I have been to Edo three times for lazy Sunday evening meals and every time it has been a less than adequate experience. To be fair, the first time I went there they were newly opened and staff were stiff learning. However, it took two staff members ten minutes to work out on a calculator the price of my take-away sushi meal and drink.

    On both occasions during which my partner and I dined in, we watched in awe for fifteen minutes as the staff mixed up orders and paid a visit to each individual table to ask if it was their order. How hard is it to get table numbers or a seating plan?

    Finally, on my last visit, I was given my order, proceeded to take a sip out of my bowl of miso only to be interrupted to be told it was not my meal. The waiter then took the meal (including the miso soup!) and gave it to another patron!!!!! Needless to say this is just another run-of the mill "Japanese" restaurants equal to the many found in shopping mall food courts.
