Food:

I have been to Edo a few times and every time I have found the sushi to be delicious and the miso soup fantastic. I think the chicken they prepare in the meals is quite fatty though you can tell they aren't using the best quality meat.

Service:

The take away service moves quite quickly at the busy lunch time. The dine in lunch was also quite swift, we only waited for about 5-10 minutes for our lunches

Ambience:
Edo can get quite packed at lunch but they have nice tables and chairs.

Overall:
I haven't had any problems with this restaurant but it is not authentic Japanese which is quite misleading since the name is Japanese BBQ.

This is NOT authenitc Japanese food! The cooks are Chinese/Korean and the food the worst Japanese I have ever eaten!!They should not call this a Japanese restaurant! My chicken teriyaki was full of fat....my kids would not even it and they eat everything and anything!!I would not feed this to my dogs!!

Service:

I complained about the food and the Manager was RUDE to me!She told me to go elsewhere if I want real Japananese food-why call yourself a Japanese restaurant!!???She also told me I should have asked for no skin of I didn't want it on my chicken-but then there would be no chicken...!!

Ambience:

Looks Japanese......feels quite Japanese.......but

Overall:
AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!The food is terrible and the service bad. I would hate to see the inside of this kitchen-Ramsey...calling Ramsey!!!!!I am being very kind by giving them half a star!!

Overall:
I have been to Edo three times for lazy Sunday evening meals and every time it has been a less than adequate experience. To be fair, the first time I went there they were newly opened and staff were stiff learning. However, it took two staff members ten minutes to work out on a calculator the price of my take-away sushi meal and drink.

On both occasions during which my partner and I dined in, we watched in awe for fifteen minutes as the staff mixed up orders and paid a visit to each individual table to ask if it was their order. How hard is it to get table numbers or a seating plan?

Finally, on my last visit, I was given my order, proceeded to take a sip out of my bowl of miso only to be interrupted to be told it was not my meal. The waiter then took the meal (including the miso soup!) and gave it to another patron!!!!! Needless to say this is just another run-of the mill "Japanese" restaurants equal to the many found in shopping mall food courts.
