wow! wow! and wow! My boyfriend and I dined here on the weekend for dinner. For entree we had bruschetta which was really nice and just the right amount. Main- wow! they were absolutely fantastic. My boyfriend had the Wagyu beef, a bit on the expensive side but he said worth every single dollar! I had the chicken which was outstanding. So tender which light and creamy mash, and a few small roasted potatoes. The mains were just amazing. Desserts were nice, creme brulee and chocolate marquis- both very nice and again just the right amount.

Service was really good. Our waiter was very attentive and kept topping up our wine and water without us having to ask and it did not feel intrusive at all like other restaurants. He explained everything well to us and we felt comfortable asking what something meant.

beautiful atmosphere. Very warm and cosy. Quite romantic.

Amazing. It is worth every dollar and we really enjoyed the night. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I cannot fault the food. Every dish in our party of 8 was outstanding and we all spent time in tasting and talking about our respective dishes. I highly recommend the scallops for entree and the Angus Beef sirloin (grain-fed) for mains. The prices were also a lot better than I expected, especially in Perth these days! My (overseas business) guests loved the kangaroo (with beetroot and creamy polenta), the porcini mushroom soup with Manjimup truffle oil and the barramundi fillet on pearly barlet risotto (yes, I took notes, I was that impressed!).

Service:

What a refreshing change to visit a Perth restaurant and have staff that care about you and their job. Couldn't fault wine service, we even had a visit from the sommelier Patrick to help us select our wines. It was quick, friendly and uber-professional - go Perth!

Ambience:

We were lucky enough to get a table outside on the terrae (we booked in advance), which blew my guests away. The trees in the lights were beautiful and so close to the city.

Overall:
So impressed, not as pricey as I thought, definitely go - and don't wait for a special occasion!!!

Ordinary breakfast buffet.

We arrived at Fraser's expecting a lovely, fresh start to the day and unfortunately we were disappointed. The buffet consisted of the usual menu. The only real positive comments would go to the Sauteed Mushrooms that tasted sublime and the effort that went into trimming all the fat off the bacon. Unfortunately we found the rest of the menu ordinary and not up to Fraser's usual high standards.

The most disappointing element of our experience was sitting indoors when a fresh, crisp March morning taunted us from outside, along with the raw beauty of Kings Park made it unbearable. As lovely as the restaurant is on the inside, i can't help but feel the fresh air and the lovely view went to waste.

The service was also standard. Most patrons had to wait 5 minutes before seating as there is no formal reception desk and two entrances. We've been to Fraser's before for dinner, the food aswell as the experience was superior.

Buffet breakfast per person is $27.

Saturday evening for dinner

Food:
The stand out dish was kangaroo. Cooked to perfection, This meat can so easily be over cooked and become tough but this was perfect.

When the dishes arrive you may think they look small but we both felt full at the end.

I would recommend the brulee for dessert this is creamy and tastes like a luxury.

Ambience
I always think there is a good atmosphere at Frasers. I have only been for dinner so cannot comment on other times of day. From our table we had a good view which definitely adds to the feel.

Service
This was not so good.

We had long waits between finishing our mains and being asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. Then another long wait before taking our order. This worked to our advantage a little as we had a such a wait we both then had room for a dessert.

I ordered a moktail but never got asked if I wanted another, so stuck to water for the remainder of the evening.

The wine list has reduced a little recently. We chose the Picardy Pinot Noir - we were only able to get a 2005 which was a little young. cost $80

Cost
1 entree, 2 mains plus 1 side, 2 desserts,1 bottle wine and 1 moktail. approx $220

Went to this well known restaurant and after reading the reviews, I was excited to check this place out. However, the excitement turned into frustration and made me think if I did go to the same restaurant as what other reviewers were saying ;-)

Went and had lunch with family last Father's Day but had a late lunch instead so place was not that busy anymore. My folks, sister and kids were there first and I got there around 45 mins after they were seated. The waiter took my order. I decided to go for the lamb cutlets with goat cheese soufflé and just a glass of Diet Coke. the Coke didn't arrive until I asked for it again after waiting for 15 mins. My other family members already placed their main order. However, after waiting for a further 45 mins, the mains finally arrived.

I would say that the food was very nice and tasty, very well presented however the waiters didn't seem to be that attentive with the diners glasses of water considering there weren't very many people around that time when we were dining. The food was really nice however I don't think for the price, although I know we are also partly paying for the view, had small portions.

According to my other family member who helped the kids order their meals, the kids can have 3 choices out of the kids meals for $20 excluding the drink which we thought was good.

When our desserts arrived, my Dad ordered his dessert late as Mum first wanted to share her dessert with Dad but later changed her mind when she saw the size of the crème brulee. Dad only ordered a sorbet (which was around $15.00) but took around almost half an hour to serve it again, considering there were only very few people left. He finally got his 3 scoops of sorbet when everyone finished their desserts. I ordered the churros with chocolate dipping sauce and vanilla ice cream and would say that it was nice. The lamb cutlets only came with 3 average sizes and the small goat cheese souffle, I think over $40.00 was a bit over the top.

To top it all, when our bill finally came, we were not only charged the 10% Sunday surcharge but was charged 20%. The other party thought they were charging double due to Father's Day but I questioned it when we were about to pay and they definitely made a mistake. After re doing the food bill and I was getting a bit of a headache, we just paid the bill and went home. When I got home to re check the itemised account, I've noticed that the kids meals were not charged as $20.00 for the 3 choices but were charged individually. Doing the calculation, it showed that one of the kids were charged almost double the price as stated on the menu and same as the other children.

All in all, yes, the views were absolutely beautiful and food was lovely, I think this restaurant is a bit on the overpriced side looking at the size and price of the main meals served. The waiters though were friendly and courteous were not fully attentive with their tasks. There are other nice places in Perth with lovely views too, with reasonable price and good size meals. For those who will be dining in this restaurant in the future, I would suggest you check your itemised food and drinks bill VERY carefully.

We had a special Valentine's dinner here recently. Didn't have the greatest view, but you had to get in early for that! The menu was set, but was still delicious! The Porcini mushroom soup with truffle oil was so beyond anything I've ever tasted before - the best soup I've ever had in my life! Wish they’d given me a full bowl, though! The dessert was heavenly, chocolate nut cake of some sort with yummy cream, sauce and lemon curd - one of the nicest Valentine's dinners! Service was okay, considering the busy night they were having - all in all, a nice night out!

This definitely is one of the fanciest places you can take a date in town. Its quite formal and the surroundings are immaculate. I must admit I was here quite a few months ago, so my comments on the food may not be current. I found the steak I had to be a bit average and the serving size a bit small given the price. My partner had a grilled snapper which looked lovely, but the accompanying sauce failed to bring out its natural flavours. Presentation was lovely and the chefs clearly knew what they were doing there. If you want fancy ambience and great looking food - this is an awesome place to come.

We dined here on Tuesday night with my husbands' boss. He was super impressed with the wine list as he is a wine buff.

The food was delightful and everything you would expect from a restaurant of this calibre.

The service was great and mostly friendly. (there was 1 waiter who didn't even smile or speak until we were walking out the door, he just delivered things to our table and walked away!)

The only gripe would be that it was a little noisy, but this can't be blamed on the place, we were just unfortunate to go on a night when there were a couple of loud yobbos who didn't care about everyone else's experience.

All in all a good experience.

I recently attended a wedding at Frasers and have nothing but praise for the quality of food and the wonderful experience!

You would be hard pressed to find another venue in Perth with such exceptional views of the city skyline and Swan River.

The meal was buffet-style and because of that I had reservations that it would be of a high standard. I was wrong! This was the BEST buffet food I have ever eaten in my life! The quality of the food was outstanding from the tender roast meats, the chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms to the chilli squid and the spicy cous-cous dish. The salads were all fresh and involved such unique combinations of ingredients and the spinach cannelloni was divine!

Dessert was a selection of a range of treats such as mini-cheesecakes and my favourite, the fig and ginger pudding! The fruit platter was also fresh.

My only disappointment on the night was the drinks service - We were not huge drinkers at our table but it still took a long time for the waiter to refill our glasses and replace empty bottles of wine. Oh, and the DJ needed a bullet!!! He had no idea about the music!

If you are planning a wedding and have money to spend, I would highly recommend this venue (but not the DJ!). Your guests will definitely not be disappointed!

Sublime, it doesn’t matter when we go, lunch, dinner, birthday, Melbourne Cup, Australia Day....yep! We go often, we are NEVER disappointed, and sure there are times when they are under the pump but through it all, the food and service is consistently good. I reckon it should be mandatory for any training chef or hospitality worker to attend there to experience what they are trying to master as their craft p.s. The view’s pretty good too!

We headed here for lunch yesterday on a special occasion. Expectations were high as I've only heard good things about Fraser's and the chef and staff did not disappoint. We actually found Fraser's to be a great value for the money spent. A lot of restaurants in Perth overcharge simply because its "standard" now to charge $30 for a main even if the food isn't worth it. This was not the case here and we'd go back at the first opportunity.
The menu here is long and gives you much to choose from. I liked that its influences were varied. We began our meal with an order of bruschetta which arrived very quickly. I noticed how fresh the tomatoes and the bread were right away. Next were entrees: cheese gnocchi with a fresh vegetable ragout as well as soft-shelled crabs with an Asian-style vinegar-based sauce - both delicious. My partner ordered the roast chicken breast with potatoes; the chicken was tender and juicy in its light-style brown sauce - perfect! I had a prawn and snapper curry-style dish accompanied by light jasmine rice, also delicious. We finished off the meal by sharing a Caesar salad, also done perfectly.

The most inventive course of our meal was dessert: we both had the chocolate fondant with Baci ice cream. Fraser's must have an outstanding pastry chef as I haven't had such a well-presented and delicious dessert since I lived in New York City. The cake was moist and delicious, filled with hot chocolate sauce and accompanied by the ice-cream in a "cone" made of sesame seeds and honey and topped off by fairy floss that is spun to look like wool. Very rich and wonderful. Even our long blacks after dessert were perfectly made.

Fraser's also had a fantastic and extensive wine list (magnum's anyone?). We had a great lunch here and will definitely return in the future.

My Husband took me to Fraser's recently as a surprise and our dining experience was superb. The staff were courteous, the food was fantastic and the view was just magnificent.

We ordered the 5 course set menu, and were presented with an array of delightful dishes. The main meal was succulent teriyaki beef on barbecued onion, with the meat cooked to perfection, my Husband and I having different preferences to how our meat is cooked. My favourite meal by far was the dessert, a small warm chocolate mud-cake, with chocolate ice-cream, chocolate sauce, cream, spun sugar on top and a piece each of white and milk chocolate. Cake to die for.
I would recommend Fraser's to anyone looking for a fine dining experience and excellent food.

Perched on top of Kings Park, Fraser's Restaurant has stunning panoramic views of the River and the city. The décor is contemporary and relaxed (see the photo section).

I have been for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Fraser’s and each time the experience was very positive and enjoyable. On all the occasions the food was superb with great friendly service.

Fraser’s is at the higher range of the restaurant scale and the menu (prices) reflects this, i.e. dinner mains are around the $40 mark, but saying that you can expect the freshest produce (some great seafood) and service.

We liked Fraser’s so much we had our wedding reception there, they did an awesome job looking after us (to the smallest of details) and catering for 190 of our guests. I would definitely recommend Fraser’s for an elegant meal, 5 stars from me.

Celebrating my husband's birthday found us dining at Fraser’s on a Thursday evening at the peak dining time of 7.30pm. The setting is always lovely when you head up to Kings Park in the evening with that sparkling jewel of a view over the river and city. The restaurant therefore is blessed in the ambience factor, not only with the gorgeous views let in by floor to ceiling glass windows but tastefully not over the top decor which didn't try to compete with the views.

The staff were attentive from the moment we walked in, and although the restaurant was busy we were adequately looked after without feeling intruded upon....and from the kitchen, I enjoyed the most tender and perfectly medium rare lamb rump I have ever experienced. The menu choices though did disappoint a bit, nothing on it really jumped out to us and all seemed a bit unimaginative. All in all a great restaurant expensive but a great anniversary type place

Okay, I'm not really one to eat and tell, but I've just recently experienced a mouth watering chargrilled scotch fillet of beef. A friend and myself had reservations at 6:30pm. It was quiet, but I liked it that way.

An hour later, the atmosphere performed a full makeover. By that time, we had already been served our drinks, food and had our dessert. Okay, maybe an hour and a half, but we were hungry! They probably only require one kitchenhand, considering I can hardly imagine anyone leaving anything on their plate. As you can most probably tell, they left a good impression.

The service was outstanding, I'd like to compare it to a busy night. If you have ever been to Frasers, you'd notice how impressionable it is. My friend had an entree, which was a decent size. It filled her up, and left her with enough space for dessert... Vanilla bean icecream? You can't really go wrong. 3 thumbs up!
