Outstanding! Its been a long time since me and my friends have had a good night out at a restaurant. The food was generous, wholesome and tasty. We had so much to choose from, so we had the Greek feast platter and a few litlle mezes. This satisfied all of our palates not to mention our hunger.
Friendly, attentive and efficient. The staff really make the cute little restaurant a comfortable place to be.
Relaxing, unpretentious, cosy and fun. The belly dancer really brought the place to life!
Overall:
For a good night out in Perth I recommend this one. There are mot many places like this. :)
The shared meze for 2 consisted of approx 25 slices of bland sausage (not remotely spicey and way too much for 2), calamari which was good in taste but they had chosen to leave the quills in (the waiter insisted this was how it was supposed to be), decomposing lettuce (slimey), and some fried balls, all very salty and $39- steep. The main was lamb slouvaki, over half of which had to be discretely spat out due to griscley bits and pieces. Again very salty, the 2 of us had consumed 2 litres of water by this stage!
Friendly enough, they reduced the bill due to the pile of lamb left on our plates which was decent of them
Nice sitting outside on a warm evening
Overall:
Food was unacceptable, meze is easy and they did a very poor job. No chance of a return visit.
Simply put, the food was amazing! There were four of us and we all chose a seafood dish for mains. I had chili prawns served in its own clay pot with a side serve of rice, salad and aoili. Although I enjoy eating moderately hot food, the chili prawns were quite hot, and for those not used to chili I would recommend thinking twice or having some water on hand. The great thing was unlike some restaurants that hide 4-5 prawns in their sauce these guys filled up the serving bowl! The prawns were in a tomato based sauce which contained chili (obviously), red paprika, red onion (maybe a bit too much onion) and a bit of garlic. Nothing fancy but of good quality. Desert was divine and simple; a slice of galaktaboureko, fresh and home-made.
The service was very friendly but unfortunately slow which detracted a bit from what would have been a fantastic night. Although not super busy, many diners were waiting for at least 20 minutes. As we hadn't ordered any entrees it seemed like an even longer wait.
Very relaxing ambience. It was the only time I was happy about daylight savings! Although the restaurant is intimate in size it seems very spacious and there isn't a feeling of being crowded, though it was getting busier throughout the evening. Very simple Mediterranean decor with alfresco dining.
Overall:
We had a great night and it will be the first of many visits.
Calamari was soooooo.. rubbery, could not eat it. Waiter insisted this was how it should be. Noticed other diners having problems too. Other diners, so, just do not hgve the calamari! on our table had excellent meals
Apart from the argumentative waiter the other waitstaff were exceptional.
Bit crowded but warm and friendly. Belly Dancer was great!
Overall:
They take pride in their food and service and overall, a pleasant evening
Overall:
George's is a little hidden away from the main drag - but worth finding. On a very hot evening the outdoor courtyard was a lovely cool haven with a great mediterranean (but not kitschy) feel. The service was prompt and friendly. Whilst fairly full it still felt spacious and open which is a rare thing.
The menu features a lot of basic seafood including many different prawn dishes, and doesn't get too fancy. It's always a good sign when there a multiple dishes you WANT to try. Unfortunately after a large lunch I could only stretch to a main, which was the chilli prawns. Fresh and tasty with enough kick and simple but good sides. My companions were likewise impressed with the souvlakis and a seafood stew type dish.
The food is quite simple - you PROBABLY could prepare most of these dishes at home to a similar quality but that's not a bad thing when the ingredients are fresh and tasty and the atmosphere is good. Compared to most other restaurants in Subi it's great to find one that doesn't try too hard, and just gets it right.

Three of us went here early on a Saturday evening. The place slowly began to get busy and, with the Greek musicians who often perform here, the atmosphere can be very good at times.
The service was friendly and the food came out at the right moment. The dessert is handmade and, to show how fresh it is, a lady came in carrying a Greek dessert just as we were finishing.
The food was very nice. I had the lamb souvlaki which was served with rice (or potatoes) and a salad. I thoroughly enjoyed it and there was even a bit of cous cous on the side.
For dessert I had a delicious piece of Baclava.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and if you come here on the right night (when the musicians are also there) the atmosphere can be terrific.
Overall:
The food in georges meze is pretty good especially the divine moussaka and the goat. It is just delicious and yummy.
I know its a lil bit expensive in price, but the service and the place is just so warming and comfortable.
Not forgetting to taste the wonderful selection of desserts from the Baklava, Galaktaboureko and Halvas...
Just make sure you bring enough cash when you dine in to the restaurant because this place charge extra fees for EFTpos.
