The thing people have to remember, is this is a casual cafe setting! Okay food.... nice enough. I mean, it's Han. Simple, quick, yummy asian food. You get what you pay for. I ordered Basil chicken, way to much bamboo but hey, it was nice enough. My partner ordered Garlic Chicken, this is the best thing I have eaten at Hans before, and what I will be ordering next time can tell you that. The vegetarian noodles are nice also, as is the red chicken curry.
Garlic Chicken was the standout. Rating based on the fact this is a casual eatery.

Service:

Rushed. Everyone is there to eat and go on to a movie etc. Although this service isn't great, it's pleasant enough. Doesn't put me off. They aren't brilliant with their english though so I can see how people who want to alter the menu/question it may encounter problems!

Ambience:

It's hustle bustle. Everyone is talking and having a good time. Think of a food hall, and then step it up just a notch... this is Hans.

Overall:
A nice cheap dinner, meals and wine came to $32. Complaints, none. Whenever we want something yummy, cheap and quality food, we go to Hans!

Reading the other review on here, I'd have to say our experience was the polar opposite! The food was fine - I had the bbq pork & rice, and spring rolls - both of which are always pretty tasty. However, the service was APPALLING!!!

What was supposed to be a nice QUICK meal for 6 friends before seeing a movie turned into a joke. We had to ASK for our order to be taken (after waiting 15mins), and they treated my vegetarian friend like a nuisance, telling her the only thing she could have was a small bowl of steamed veg (because the veg stir-fry contained fish stock) - but they still charged it as 'stir-fry' at $8.95 - ridiculous! We tried to challenge the price but the girl just said "What do you want ME to do about it?!"

Service:

The staff were rude, surly and arrogant. The waitress actually rolled her eyes (!!) when asked about veggie options, and the waiter who finally brought our food literally slammed the plates on the table. Also, when we requested extra soy sauce, he had the cheek to ask "Why?!".

Ambience:

What ambience?! The staff couldn't have made us feel more like 'difficult' customers if they'd tried, and it totally put a dampener on what was supposed to be a fun girls night out.

Overall:
All in all, not impressed! The service at Hans is usually quite efficient but this time, we ended up waiting 45mins for our food, and missed the first 10 mins of the film!! The attitude of ALL of the wait-staff was so frustrating that I actually emailed Hans to complain. That was 2 weeks ago though and I've had no response as yet... seems like Head Office's care factor is about the same as their employees!

Overall:
The food is awful here! The rice was stodgy, the spring rolls greasy and tasteless, the stir fried vegetables tasted like they'd been sitting in a bain marie for hours before being served and were drenched in oil, the beef in our chilli beef was that probably reconstituted, even the rice was stodgy. BUT everything was served very quickly, probably cause it's all been waiting in the kitchen for a few hours and just needs a quick reheat! We got our spring rolls literally within a minute of ordering.

The staff were friendly enough despite their rushing.
