Welcome to Hog's Breath Cafe Joondalup
Hog's Breath can be credited with developing and specialising Prime Rib Steaks in Australia, with the boast that there's not a more tender, mouth-watering steak to be found anywhere. To complement this signature dish and its diverse menu, Hog's Breath has created a distinctive style for people who enjoy casual dining experiences.
In a nutshell, it's all about providing quality food and beverage services in an informal, yet comfortable environment with an overriding friendly, party atmosphere.
Quite simply, the basic Hog's Breath philosophy is "have fun and enjoy yourself" - a principle engendered by its unique operating style and unlikely decor that sees walls crowded with unusual paraphernalia and memorabilia. In truth it's a place you have to personally experience to fully appreciate its rather different and exceptional reputation.
All Hog's Breath Cafes are in essence themed licensed restaurants catering to all ages. They incorporate three interacting components - a seated food service area, a licensed saloon bar and a merchandise shop exclusively carrying the Bad Hog clothing label.

Overall:
My sister and i dropped into the hogs breath last night hoping to snag a table so we could satisfy our steak craving!
No problem getting a table for 2 most of the larger tables were occupied with big groups of people enjoying their meals.
Straight off we ordered our drinks and meals, waitstaff are very attentive and there seemed to be more than ample staff on to cover the floor, within 20mins our meals had arrived, we both ordered the hickory smoked prime steak.
I ordered mine with veg and sis had salad with hers, the veg and salad were both very generous serves plus we also had some of those yummy curly fries!
When we finished we couldnt possibly eat dessert though it was offered and menu looked yum.
Will definitely go back probably with family in tow, the steak is fantastic, service attentive and the whole vibe and decor of restaurant is fun and welcoming.
Overall:
My family and I went there on Mothers’ day for a meal. I found the waiters to be too quiet and my mother couldn’t hear anything they were saying or asking, the place was a little loud! The food was nice, though my mum did have to ask for a simple glass of water 3 times before she got one. We all got our meals but no cutlery, so we had to ask for that too. It was an okay experience, but considering there are so many places out there, I don’t think I will be going back in a hurry.
Overall:
I was lamenting the fact that we were going to Hog's Breath for dinner. Our friends had chosen the place and I was scared that it was going to be over-priced and not even close to good food.
I was quite wrong. We sat at the bar for awhile before we were due in the restaurant and then were seated before our actual booking time. The service was fantastic, even though the place was very busy (quite noisy too).
I had a steak in hickory smoked barbecue sauce. It was cooked to perfection. It is up there in my top six steaks I've ever had - and it was only $20.
Everyone enjoyed their meal and we ended up having a really nice evening. We'll be back there for sure.
Overall:
Very good food, exactly as menu described. The staff are very attentive but seem to react well if asked to hold off for a while. Overall, a good experience with decent food.
Overall:
Is there such a thing as the waitstaff being TOO attentive? The minute we were seated, we were asked if we'd like to order drinks (without us being given a chance to look at the wine list), and then as soon as they bought us a bottle we were asked if we were ready to order our meals. Twice while we were eating we were asked if everything was ok and then as soon as our dinner plates were collected we were asked if we wanted dessert. Nothing like getting the customers in and out! Apart from that, the food was (as always) absolutely delicious. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the desserts were divine. I think the staff just need to relax a little.
Overall:
My partner and I recently dined at the Hog's Breath for our one year anniversary.
Although it wasn't the most romantic of locations, we thought we'd give it a go as we had dined there several times previously and enjoyed the food. This time was definitely NO exception.
We both ordered steak, being in the mood for meat, and I can definitely speak for both of us when I say that it was the juiciest piece of meat I have had in a long time. The Diane sauce was mouthwatering, as were the chips, and the avocado on top made for an interesting mixture of tastes.
Not only was the food exquisite, but the beverages too. My mudslide cocktail left me more than satisfied.
As for the service, I couldn't have asked for any better.
What a lovely evening for me and my partner to share, so thank you to all of you at the Hog's Breath for making our evening so enjoyable.
Overall:
Hog's breath is very popular, always busy. I have dined several times, and have not been overly impressed. I must note that I am not a steak eater, which may have influenced my experience.
The food was nice, I enjoyed the Chicken Caesar Salad. Tasty and reasonable sized portions, but have experienced comparable for less elsewhere.
The service was efficient, but the staff very bust coping with the large number of guests.
I found the restaurant to be very noisy, with both the music and the noise of the other guests. I also find the wooden benches used as seating, while adding to the atmosphere, uncomfortable to sit on for long amounts of time.
Overall, I enjoyed Hog's Breath, but would opt to dine in the less busy times, avoiding weekends, and stake out a table with chairs, rather than benches.
