Overall:
It was Monday night the night of the public holiday so it was quite busy here, to start we ordered a bruschetta, trio of dips and sausage.
The bruschetta was outstanding, done with cherry tomatoes and feta and the dips were tasty too. The problem was there were no plates to eat off as we were sharing and only one knife, fork and napkin to share. I know it’s a pub but all the other pubs are more attentive these days.
We waited well over an hour for our mains and had to ask where they were and they had accidentally lost our docket or something. So the waitress said she would refund our meals, which she didnt, which was kind of annoying as she said she would and then didnt. I had the fish and chips and was disappointed that it was bought in frozen already battered fish instead of real fish and seeing as there was no pepper or salt on the tables to make it taste better i didnt really enjoy it. Two others had burgers which looked nice and they said they were fine and the other had a bruschetta because it was sooo good as an entree. But it had to go back as there was a hair in it.
We ordered desserts, the sorbet was delicious and beautifully presented and the pana cotta was vey attractive and smooth and creamy but was not cold ????? the chocolate tart was nice with a delicious coffee crème fraiche and banana chips.
Overall we didnt leave really happy. Some of the food was outstanding in my view and the others not so good. Service was pleasant but not great.
