Food:

We ordered Vegetable Korma, Butter chicken, Chicken Chettinand, Lamb Rogan Josh, Dahl and garlic naans all the food was fantastic, fresh and mostly great quality produce. The only down side was the Lamb Rogan Josh had quite a few fatty pieces of meat in it which was disapointing and the Vegetalbe Korma seemed like they had used packs of frozen vegetables rather than fresh.

Service:

We arrived later than the rest of our party who where already seated at a table with papadoms already served for 2 people event though it was for a table of 5?? They were quick to take our orders for food and drinks trying to get a second round of drinks proved harder.

Ambience:

There was a lot of loud talking which was fine as we were probably talking loud too the background music was played intermidtley which seemed odd. With us seated at the round table at the front of the restaraunt we had the cold air swept in every time the door opened which was quickly fixed.

Overall:
Jewel of the Park is always a fantastic feed and cannot be beaten!

Having ordered takeaway food from here on numerous occasions it has always been very good. So we decided to go here for dinner on a Friday night.Unfortunately things just went downhill. We had a table pointed out to us from the man behind the counter, so we sat ourselves down as no one showed us to the table. We waited over 15 mins and after numerous attempts at getting waiters attention I went and got some menus from the front counter myself and gave some to the table next to us who were in the same predicament.

Service:

Luckily we brought screw top bottle with us and there was some glasses already on the table so we had something to drink. We then spent another 15 mins trying to get someones attention to take our order. We finally got someones attention and he mouthed to us from a distance he would be with us

Ambience:

in 2 mins. We waited another 10 and he showed no signs of coming to asssist us so we got up and walked out. I explained myself to a waiter as we left, he had no appology and just said "okay".

Overall:
While the takeaway food we have had here was good the service is appauling, we wouldnt dine in here again

Jewel of the Park has to be my favourite Indian restaurant in Perth, period. The service is excellent (I'm shocked by some of the other reviews here), as is the food.

I've been to Jewel with different friends and we've always enjoyed eating there. The prices are good given the size of the portions and the quality of the food. As far as ambience is concerned, there's no cheesy music blaring away, and I've never had a problem carrying on a conversation while dining. The only other place I've had better Indian was in New Zealand of all places.

We went as a family for the first time to try the Indian food for dinner. The food was average and I had ordered the Tandori chicken which was not up to my standards. It had no taste. The butter chicken, beef korma and naan bread was okay, but I expected better.

Service was awfull. We always had to ask if we wanted something, which I didn’t like. They should put more wait staff serving customers.

Overall average.

We went to Jewel on a busy Friday night in a group of four. I would usually always go to my favorite Indian restaurant, but since I read so many good reviews about Jewel we decided to give it a try.

We ordered the Cheese Naan and ohhh this was sooo cheesely good, and then we had a garlic naan which was good but no buttery or very garlicky at all.
As mains we had butter chicken, which was absolutely delicious, and the chicken Korma which was also very good, though the only down point was that they used breast instead of thigh and we thought it was definitely too dry, the sauce would not really enter in the meat properly.

As vegetable dishes we had a Palak Paneer, which we didn’t really like mainly because the cheese was hard and tofu-like (we don’t like tofu) rather than cheesy. As second vegetable dish we had a vegetable korma, which was pretty good mainly just like the chicken korma, but with vegetables. We ordered bryani rice as accompaniment and I must say I was very disappointed by this rice, it was nothing like the one in my fav restaurant, it was very dry and with not many spices, we were better off to a simple white basmati.

We also shared a mix vegetables entrée which consisted of delicious Onion Bahji, vegetable samosa, good but the dough wasn’t cooked properly and vegetable pakoras.

Finally as drinks we has a mango and banana lassi, they were truly great, particularly the banana lassi, which I had never tried before, they also have a strawberry lassi which I’ll certainly try next time.

Overall the food was great the service wasn’t too bad, even if they ignored us for more than 30 minutes, the food arrived very quickly and everything was very cheap. We paid 54$ which is pretty a good price compared to other Indian restaurants!

We will certainly go back to dry more of their delicious dishes.

My partner and I only live down the road from this restaurant and we love it. When we want Indian we always head straight to the "Jewel". We mainly get takeaway from there but each time we do the restaurant is always busy and buzzing.

One of my absolute favs are their samosas. They are big and oh so tasty, especially drizzled with the herby/yogurt dipping sauce (which sadly is sometimes forgotten) when we get the mixed meat/veg entrée it is always the first thing I go for.

We love Indian food and are always up to try other restaurants but I do not think that many any other restaurants really come close to this one.

Although we live in the South West we use this restaurant when in Perth CBD and have been several times as its a few minutes drive across the causeway bridge.

The food is EXCELLENT (authentic) Indian and not "tempered for the Western palate" (as is often the excuse from other poor Indian restaurants when I respond to their question as to how the meal was)

If you like authentic Indian food and very good service from friendly informed staff you cannot go past this place.......unless of course it's full which is sometimes the case! (The rice dishes here are super)

My boyfriend and I eat at Jewel of the Park quite often because of its great value, friendly service and excellent food. The portions are generous, the service is fast and the staff are both friendly and helpful. We found the food to be nice and spicy as well (so often you go to an Indian restaurant where the food is mild and lacking that spiciness you expect). I'd definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you love a wide variety of choice and delicious food at great prices.

We have been to the Jewel of the Park many times, with friends, with the children and as a couple.

Each time we have experienced wonderful service, food and atmosphere.

The staff are always helpful and happy to chat, but also know when to leave you alone!!
Prices are exceptional. We can never go past the Goat Curry and for sweets, Pistachio Icecream. Coffee is also wonderful and they stock a few different beers.

All in all a wonderful place to take the whole family for dinner of lunch.

The Jewel in the park has excellent food, carefully prepared and well presented. The serves are generous without being huge and the freshness of the breads and raita is obvious. The restaurant has no great atmoshere but is pleasant enough and often booked out. Recommended if you are looking for a really tasty Indian experience.
