The boy and I both started off with the mushroom soup. It was to die for with asparagus and lots of chunky mushroom with a fresh baguette. For mains I had a pesto spagghetini which was lovely, enjoyed it more as progressed through the meal. The boy had one of the specials of chilli garlic prawns, the sauce was a bit too sweet chilli from a bottle for my liking. but it was ok.

The mushroom soup was definitely the winner.

The restaurant was not very full so service was excellent. We felt welcome and relaxed. The lady serving us was very lovely. We even got a thumbs up from the chef when we were leaving.

Beautiful location, a little bit cold in the restaurant, but that was probably because it was nearly empty. Really clean, bright and airy. Would be a great place to have a function.

Overall:
We were driving from down sth back to Perth and wanted something hearty and delicious and this place certainly fitted the bill. With one glass of wine, 2 entrees and 2 mains came to about $75 which is pretty reasonable. Would definitely go back.

We stop there by hazard, coming back from hiking in Collie... the welcome by the owner was not really great, but we were really hungry...

We had snails for the beginning; it was excellent!

We then had the fish of the day; well cooked, excellent too!

Then we had a tarte tatin and a cognac sabayon sauce with vanilla ice cream: it was really excellent, the kind of food I am dreaming of...
