Overall:
Went to Kahmon after having the reviews posted and the forums. It's a very small restaurant with about 6 tables so if you have a party bigger than 6 people, takeaway is the best option. Also if like myself, you have a toddler with you, space is a premium, so go takeaway again.
We ordered the Chicken Katsu Set D (comes with agedashi tofu, sushi, rice) and the Chicken Karaage set D. Upon seeing the containers, we were a bit surprised at the size of the serve as we felt that there was no way that it was going to fill us up. But when we got home and started digging it, the wife was struggling to finish hers. I finished mine and was surprised to feel that it was substantial enough.
Service in this restaurant is excellent for a small takeaway place. I was waiting for my orders busy reading a magazine. Not too long after, a waitress came up and actually bow, and gave me my takeaway and thank me for coming and apologise for keeping me waiting. Now, this is a far cry for other restaurants when either your name is shouted out, your order is shouted out or you have to actively inquire with the counter is your order ready.
Would definitely go and eat here again (or maybe just order takeaway) but this time would try the chicken katsu don which came highly recommended by the forum users.
