Overall:
Had a meal here on Sunday 17th June, with my partner and two friends, and the place lived up to expectations.
The service was prompt and satisfactory, and the staff were all friendly.
The orders were taken within a short time .. the food came out rapidly, and was well-presented, cooked perfectly, and very tasty. The tapas style meals aren't large, but ordering 5 dishes for 4 people saw us satisfied.
We had the dipping bread with Extra Virgin olive oil to start with, and I must say both were excellent. The french stick was crusty and tasty (just the way it should be), and the EVOO was delicious.
For the mains, we had the Snapper with potato rosti, the salt and pepper squid, the pork and apple with pistachio .. and of course, we had to have wedges .. which were done to a turn.
All of these were delicious, and every person was fully satisfied with everything they ordered.
We had coffees and deserts in the form of the lemon meringue, and the caramel slice .. which was too rich for me, but might suit others.
Overall, this place rates highly amongst the many restaurants I've sampled, and it comes highly recommended.
The four of us paid around $120 for the meals .. however, we did not sample the wines, as we really aren't wine drinkers. Overall, I thought the cost reasonable, seeing as it was faultless, high quality food. However, if you're looking for huge meals, this isn't the place for you.
It's a great place to kick back, with a pleasant rural feel, no loud music to grate on you, and the choice of a large area to dine, both indoors and out. We picked a day that was sunny, but a bitingly cold wind, and sat outside .. however inside would have been better, as the trees soon shaded us and made our spot very cold. Watch the weather, and pick your eating spot accordingly.
