Went out to dinner with the girls & decided to try this place. I had the involtini, it was small & bland with steamed vegies just thrown onto the plate! My meal was supposed to be a chicken breast stuffed with asparagus, parma ham & camembert, however it came out with 1 stingy piece of asp in it, a tiny bit of cheap ham smoothered in a white sauce??? & dont know where the cheese was!!! My friend had the lasagna, so so, & another had the parmagana also very average!!!

service was good, friendly & efficient.

Quite a nice place, warm & comfy.

Overall:
Overpriced for the quality of food you receive, very ordinary & bland. Will not be back to even give this place another go!

We went to La Vita for the first time. We are both very much into traditional Italian food and been to a few different places around town. Although the food was good we were left slightly disappointed. We had bruschetta and salad for starters, followed by Ravioli and Gnocchi. We thought the food was ok but a bit bland and boring. The zest was missing. We might come back and give the pizza a try.

The service was very friendly and good, no complaints here. We were seated promptly and the food came out quickly. we like to have a break between the main meal and dessert and appreciate being not being rushed.

Nice atmosphere, especially the alfresco area. comfortable for a nice dinner with a bottle of wine to just sit and chat.

Overall:
Ok food but slightly too pricey for the quality of food.

I had Capretto (baby goat). very tasty, presented well, but I was still hungry after my meal. Vegetables were just warm almost as if they had been sitting around for a while. My wife had Involtini which she thought was ok.

We didn't have a reservation and on a busy Friday night thought we might not get in but they accomodated us immediately. Staff were polite and prompt.

Ambience:

Busy, Italian style restaurant.

Overall:
I feel they are overpriced for what they serve. I've had better food at a more reasonalble price. I wouldn't be a regular here.

Having never eaten at "La Vita", I was looking forward to a hearty Italian meal. I was equally happy that I had found an Italian so close to home and was pleased to see that it was very busy - a good sign I thought. We ordered the garlic bread for entrée', no complaints there. It was fresh and hot.

Main course was a "Romana" pizza for me (leg ham, mozzarella, artichoke etc) and lasagna and chips for my husband. Whilst the pizza didn't exactly blow me away, it was tasty and ticked all the right boxes. It would have been nice to have fresh artichoke, rather than tinned though. My husband didn't enjoy his lasagna at all; the parmesan was piled on top and far too overpowering. The lasagna itself was bland and the side salad wasn’t a fresh as it could have been.

However, I feel that the price of the dishes is a reflection of this, at around $18 - $25 for a main. I’d happily pay more though, if the food was better. Overall, the service was fine, as was the ambiance. The restaurant surrounds were very nice and it’s a shame we didn't really enjoy the food, as we would have definitely returned in the future, had the food been up to scratch.

My wife and I eat regularly at La Vita on a Saturday night and are made very welcome on every visit. The food there is pretty good and I'd recommend the Salmon as the best dish - my wife usually goes for the Saltimbocca (and they actually add orange sauce to it for her). The owners are very friendly as is the staff and we find it an enjoyable experience. The fact that weekends are always pretty busy, speaks for itself.

Last night we dined at La Vita. We have dined a few times before and enjoyed it. Last night we left very disappointed. We had not booked and was given a table outside under a nice heater. Thank goodness we had the heater otherwise it would have been a very chilly experience. Of course this is our fault for no booking, but we usually fly by the seat of our pants when dinning in our local area…

We ordered our meals, entrees, Cesar, garlic prawns and garlic bread. My partner had the prawns and they were to die for. Salad was the usual Cesar. Our first disappointment was the garlic bread. Honestly when are these types of places going to get it right. There was three of us dining and they came out with two slices. On previous visits there has been four of us and they gave us three. My partner complained and we were given another serve. The price they charge for it is should be four slices as a standard. Secondly they hid the smallest piece underneath. Not good. We waited for over 45 minutes for our main meals. I believe they were over looked.

When they came out they were plated in a hurry as it was all thrown together. We had the Chicken, Veal and my daughter has the Lasagne. These meals were very nice, though I need to mention "how much zucchini can you put handle in one meal. It was over cooked and mushy" We did not stay for dessert, opted for wine and chocolates at home.

In summary - it is a nice place, atmosphere is Italian like, noisy and full on. We are use to this, but more attentive customer service is needed. I am paying money to eat and be waited on and I don't expect to be ushered and hurried along. Whilst we were, the table of 5 women were not having a great time with the older gentleman who runs the tables. They up and left mid meal, not happy campers.

The best Pizzas in town, very good wood fired, thin and crispy dough.
But I can't recommend the rest.

I was really surprised when I saw the new menu, because they raised prices quite much. We tried calamari fritti as an entree for $ 17.50! And it was a very small serving. Also the pasta plates from the neighbour’s tables looked very small. The couple next to us ordered garlic bread after their meal because they where still hungry.

They are also trying to convince you of buying Italian still water for $2 instead of free tap water.

It's a pity, before it was a very good value for money.

I regularly dine at La Vita Joondalup and often get takeaway meals.

With a lovely homely Italian atmosphere, I am never disappointed! Recently, La Vita has changed owners, but the high standard of food and service has remained, with an extension to the out door dining area, lovely candlelit tables, and the addition of a takeaway Gelato bar!

The wood-fired pizza's are delicious, and my favourite is the Chicken Fettuccini. The portions are large, and very reasonably priced. They have a selection of pizzas and a great range of pasta dishes.

I would definitely recommend La Vita for a nice dinner, with great service and great prices in Joondalup.

I'm a fan of Italian food, and I have enjoyed La Vita on a few occasions now. I also like the option to dine al fresco on warm nights and watch the world go by....

This place looks inviting from the outside, and doesn't disappoint. There's a reasonable variety of dishes available, although probably few surprises - most of the dishes feature on most Italian menus, so you know what you can expect.

Food is well prepared and reasonably tasty - no bland 'lowest common denominator' stuff here. Service is competent and reasonably friendly.

Without raving about it too much, I can recommend La Vita - it's a good reliable place at the 'casual dining' end of the market.
