Now I know why people rave about the food here - its fantastic! I thought garlic prawns were garlic prawns, but these were incredibly delicious. I had them as my entree with olive oil, and very unlike me mopped up every last bit of oil with bread as it was so tasty. My partner had the pork belly entree, which was also lovely. My partner ordered the steak and it is, without doubt, the best a steak can get. I realise why other reviewers go on about the steak - its nothing short of perfect! I had the lamb rack and it was also absolutely delicious.

Service was great, friendly and laid back. Our meals were brought out timely and our table was attended regularly.

I don't agree with other diners about the place oozing ambience. Its nice, its cosy, but it is fairly basic. Could possibly ramp it up a bit with some more ambient lighting.

Overall:
Thoroughly enjoyable and will be returning soon!

Amazing! I shared the portabello mushroom, garlic prawns and tandoori lamb salad, (yes three entrees), with my sister. We couldn't decide on one - the menu is one of the best I have seen in a long time.
Everything we ate was delicious, including the grilled salmon as a main and sticky date pudding for dessert.

Probably the best service I have experienced in Perth yet. Friendly, helpful and had a personality to match!

Beautiful little restaurant with a fire place - so cosy and warm!

Everything on menu sounded wonderful. I had the veal and it was perfect. All meals at the table were cooked to our request and tasted great. Not a huge menu but something for everyone but that works in their favour as everything is delicious. Wine list was outstanding a lot to choose from and very reasonably priced.

Service:

A little slow - they were very busy and all tables were full on a saturday night. Very polite and prompt when asked for refills of water or wine.

Very noisy but as we were contributing to that noise not really a problem. Lovely and warm in inside (cold wet august night) but not hot which was a blessing. Great fire place and nice ambient lighting not too dark so you can't see your food or the person opposite you.

Overall:
Heaps of parking just out the front or along George St. I booked this restaurant cold for a girls night out dinner from just reading previous reviews and we were not disappointed. Can't fault anything - they even take the entertainment card!!

what appeared to be a seemingly a simple menu turned out to be quite a surprise in terms of the depth of flavour in the dishes on offer. Credit to the chef for putting so much effort into the sauces accompanying each dish - bravo on sticking to a limited menu that allows care, attention and flavour to be paid to each main course.
I was sucked into the two stand out dishes on the menu, the garlic prawn entree and he beef fillet main - and have no regrets whatsoever, both cooked to perfection with the beef fillet a stand out .
Really impressed with the quality and the price of the bread offered for entree (and free with prawns - how rare is that !)

Service:

Good enough for the type of venue that it is. Young students who had at least some interest in the job at hand - hard to find these days

Ambience:
Just right, fireplace, wintry night, bottle of byo wine and surprisingly comfortable chairs. felt like we were at a mates place.

Overall:
I will go again, this time with friends and this time I'll be ordering main sized prawns just for more sauce !

It must have been my lucky night because i wanted to order nearly everything on the menu. I eventually made my decision entree- creamy garlic prawns came to the table sizzling in a cast iron pot, cooked perfectly and the sauce was so delicious i had to mop it up with a complementary piece of bread. Main- Beef Fillet,i like my fillet cooked rare and when you eat it like this you can really tell the quality of the meat, this was amazing (the best i have had by far) the jus and smooth creamy mash was a perfect accompaniment. Dessert- apple and rhubarb crumble was served in it's own pot and usually comes with double cream (i asked for mine with ice cream). I loved it! the hot and cold with the crunchy nutty crumble. To sum up OUTSTANDING!

We were greeted by a young friendly waitress who showed us to our table and from then on got everything we needed when we needed it.

Ambience:

Small and comfortable with a beautiful fire place toward the back. dimly lit with lots of candles.

Last time I was there, it was passable and nothing to get excited about. This evening, was a amazing. I had the garlic prawns for entree'. Not bad. Not the best I've had and certainly not the worst. Enjoyable though. Fortunately, they were just the prelude to the main course. A fillet steak. It was (in a word or two) $@#*&^$#% SENSATIONAL! Absolutely cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth perfect bit of cow. I do not recall in my whole life having had such a beautiful bit of steak. Truly!, it was that good. I am told, by those on the table, that the moans and smiles emanating from this bloke were something to behold. If meat is what hits the buttons, then this was the steak to die for. Soft, melting, tasty, succulent and oh so good. Will I return? YOU BET!

Attentive without being overbearing. Friendly and engaging. And pretty too! :)

Busy, but we could talk quite easily. A good friendly feel to the place.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

My partner and I visited Limones after we'd heard about it from friends. We tried to book a table there the week before but it was booked out. I had the sun-dried tomato stuffed chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto, served with brocollini and pumpkin. It was very tasty and delicious. Just the right amount too! My partner had the Harvey beef fillet and he rated it at one of the best steaks he's had. It was about 2-3 inches thick and served with mashed potato and a delicious sauce. The only downfall was the service. When we walked in, the waitress said to us and pointed "your table is down there to the left". There was only one chair at the table so we had to go back to the front counter to tell them, then awkwardly wait standing up whilst we waited for another chair!! Asides from that, it was an enjoyable and very tasty evening. I wanted to try the sticky date pudding but was full from my chicken. Highly recommend.

It's no surprise this little restaurant is packed and that you need to book well in advance. The food is simply outstanding. The pork belly salad is an amazing entree, and all the mains were a delight - duck, butter chicken, garlic prawns and a tomato based prawn dish - every diner on the table was pleased with their meal. The white chocolate mousse was a favourite of the excellent, homemade, desserts. Overall, excellent value for money too, with or without an entertainment card. We can't wait to go back!
