On a number of occasions my wife and I have ordered take-away from this restaurant, we decided to try dining in. Our experience was really disappointing to say the least! There were three waitresses at the front counter who had to be told by the cook to come and take our order. Our food came out far too quickly. We ordered Barbequed Spare Ribs in Plum Sauce but got Pork Fillet instead. No apology from the waiters. Quality of meat was very poor, and the sauce was far too sugary sweet.

At least the fried rice we ordered was acceptable.

There are far better Chinese Restaurants around in the vicinity of Padbury, so you'd best try them instead of Lotus Garden.

Great food BAD SERVICE not even hello good evening or how was your meal. They seem to have lots of takeaway orders and concentrate on them more than the restaurant itself even when it was very quiet we had to wait 35 minutes for entree and for them to open wine our waitress in particular was close to useless.

My favourite Chinese restaurant hands down! I have been going here since I was a kid with my family and have NEVER had an un-enjoyable experience. The food is scrumptious and the service is great. The decor hasn't changed in about 12 years but the food and friendly service makes up for it.

The soups and springs rolls are by far the best I have ever had; and people I have taken there have all agreed. My personal favourite soup is the chicken and asparagus - this is making my mouth water just thinking about it! For mains you can not go passed their seafood selection. The king prawn omlette is moist and bursting with flavour. The dishes are generously sized with steamed rice coming in ice bucket sized containers.

It is a little pricey compared to other local Chinese restaurant but it is worth every penny! Oh and don't forget to save room for fried ice cream!
