Overall:
A family dinner -5 adults & 2 children (9 & 3).
When the 3 year old, with menu in hand, declared he would have a "cucumber sandwich please - is it on the menu?" The waitress was taken aback but quickly recovered when my daughter passed her a lunch box with pre-prepared cucumber sandwich. She joined in the fun and said "yes we can do that".
It was served on a plate, garnished with parsley.
Our food was delicious, they even made a special noodle dish not on the menu, but requested by one of the adults.
I must recommend the garlic prawns and the spicy, crispy beef. This beef dish has become a favourite with our family.
The owner even produced a lollypop for the children after dinner. Lovely people, great food.
Overall:
We don't venture out for takeaway very often, but the baby chick of the family fancied some fried rice. We are new to this area and I thought I would give it a try. It was about 6.15pm when we went in to order and the girl on the front counter was amazing. She was on the phone to a customer who could not decide what they wanted and changed the order about three times. This young lady was so patient - coming from a customer service background I was very impressed with her. The owner saw us standing there waiting and she came straight over and took our order, she was very pleasant. Being Chinese New Year she offered my daughter and myself a sweet. A nice touch. The takeaway was top notch. Fried rice was not oily and was full of pork and seafood and other normal bits and pieces. As my daughter is a tad fussy and still finding her gourmet taste buds she ordered the chicken and cashew which was jam packed with cashews and veggies, again not oily perhaps a tad salty to my liking. The menu is extensive with lots of choices. We will certainly be back to dine in - or maybe another quick takeaway.
Overall:
We have been buying the take away for a little while and the consistency in the food is terrific. Good Value, honest to goodness aussie/chinese cuisine I don't know that I would dine in simply because the restaurant is very open and not inclined towards intimacy, still I am very happy with the food and take away service.
Overall:
We didn't actually dine in but we sat in there for 20 minutes awaiting our food so we got a feel for the place. The wait staff were exceptionally patient (I am hopeless at deciding when it comes to Chinese) and helpful.
The restaurant was a little small but very clean and nicely set out. It has a casual dining feel to it and is decorated similar to most Chinese restaurants.
The cuisine is not solely Chinese but is a mix of a variety of Asian tastes. From Spring Rolls to Laksa - everything the food enthusiast may expect is here.
We only get our Chinese from here now as our old favourite (Lotus Garden) is a little too far from us now, but the food is definitely on par with Lotus Garden (but cheaper).
The seafood dishes I must mention as I have found them to be packed with juicy big prawns, not the usual six that you would get elsewhere plus a container of vegies!
All in all this place has a new regular and I am on a mission to start an army!
