Food:
Overpriced, poor quality tough meat. Reheated mashed potato. Still hungry after main. We had the smoked pork and the lamb backstrap. Needed a chainsaw to cut it.
Waiter was nice. Forgot ice bucket. Expensive BYO corkage. Poor response from manager when we complained about the meals and the tough meat at the half way point when they finally checked on us. No discount or replacement offered, just 'it was ok when I cut it' ...
Outdated, dusty and dirty. Tiny and cramped. No toilets in restaurant.
Overall:
The worst experience I have had in a very long time.
Given the prices paid for the meals, one would have expected a little more. What was more disappointing is that the Cordon Bleu required a chainsaw to cut through. I thought this may have been isolated to the serving I was produced, however my friend's was exactly the same. The girl's meals were fine, and having sampled some of the Chicken Grand Marnier, it was in stark contrast to the Cordon Bleu.
When booking the restaurant advised us that the waitstaff were quite green and inexperienced, and we may have to wait a while for our meals as they were individually prepared. Neither of these were an issue
Overall:
In short, it is obvious the Chef has over-stretched himself. The restaurant was busy and is obviously popular with the local Grey-hair brigade, however I have to wonder if this reputation is based on past glories. The restaurant is understaffed, and the chef is trying to do too much with his menu, which has far too many selections for one man to cover.
Overall:
We visited Morgans at Como on Saturday night. We chose this from our entertainment book and took a chance, we could only find 1 review about the restaurant on the internet but it was very good.
The restaurant is very cosy and intimate (perfect just what we wanted for us and our friends) We were greeted by the waitress ( Sophie) with a big smile who showed us our table, brought us water and the menus after a while she asked if we were ready to order but we dithered and changed our minds with the extensive choices we had on offer. We were not the perfect customers but Sophie ( the waitress just smiled and helped and even thought it was all quite funny )
We were served our entrees 4 different choices and all very good.
Mains the same the food was delicious as with the deserts.
I have to say the timing of each course was perfection plus, (we were not served the mains as soon as the entrees were finished etc. as in most restaurants) The experience was truly a great night out made memorable by young Sophie who did everything she could for us all with a friendly word and happy smile.
We will visit again.

I had the best dining experience here I have had in quite some time. A small romantic restaurant in the heart of Como. The food was fantastic and the Chef’s mash is delicious. Although expensive, certainly worth it!!!
