BBQ Polpo (chargrilled Octopus, baby spinach drizzled with lemon infused Olive Oil) was first class - very tender and a delight. Main "special" was a fillet mignon topped with three morton bay bugs - superb! - melt in the mouth stuff and beutifuly cooked to perfection. desert - banoffe pie - fabulous. Other four members of our group thought the food was 5 star and very well presentedGood wine list at reasonable prices and staff happy to bring a small sample prior to you ordering a glass or full bottle

Service:

Excellent - uniformed waiting staff gave full description of chefs specials and appeared to have undergone some training in waitperson duties. Water and wine glasses topped up promptly and correctly (from the correct side) and place covers adjusted corrcetly once order had been taken

Ambience:

A little noisy and possibly too many tables in the restaurant - I'd sooner pay a little more to have a little more privacy and elbow room. However the excellent food more than compensated for this

Overall:
Exceptionaly good food and service

Italian dishes that range from pasta, meat, seafood etc. We have eaten here maybe 10 times but I just cannot get into the overbearing blue cheese flavour in almost everything. The pasta tastes like play doe.

Service:

Always quick and friendly although some nights we have waited 1hr for dinner.

Ambience:

Tiled concrete room that is always noisy.

Overall:
It is very popular maybe I just don't get it.

I was in need of decent food for my first night in Bunbury. I ordered the Cabonara. Please if you decide to go here do not order this you will be highly disappointed. It had no flavour and was packed with gosh knows what and far too much parmesan even though im usually all for it. The garlic bread was nice.

Service:

Staff seemed a bit stiff and did not really have any social skills only the skills of taking orders. The mid-twenties aged girl who served me was not rude or impolite and had good waitering skills but should just learn how to make customers feel comfortable and relaxed.

Ambience:

Had a nice feel to the place and looked very presentable. Music, was not a fan of it at all was winney and annoying. The chairs and tables were awfully packed close together, at least the chairs were comfy.

Overall:
Overall I believe this establishment needs a larger vicinity to fit all their tables into. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here next time.

THE BEST IN BUNBURY - don't need to say much more. Absolutely love the Tre Formaggi Bianca Pizza: it is to die for and all the other pizzas are fantastic too. Also love the Gnocchi and entree serves are very generous. My favourite salad is Insalata Gorgonzola (are you getting a cheese theme for me here??!!). The Home Made Mini Loaf is gorgeous. Every dish that myself or my friends have had at Nicola's has always been delicious! Great Cocktails, good wine list.

Service:

Outstanding! I love that there are staff in a restaurant in Bunbury that have a clue! Very attentive, friendly and relaxed and your needs are always met.

Ambience:

I love the lighting - not too dark but still nice. It looks cramped but it isn't. Too noisy at times, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, at least you know people are enjoying themselves!

Overall:

We ordered the marinated barbecued octopus to share for entree, it was tender, delicious and cooked to perfection. For main, I ordered the salmon salad which was fresh and tasty, and there was certainly no scrimping on the salmon either. My partner ordered the linguine, I was lucky enough to get a taste, and it has to be the best and freshest pasta I have ever tasted, the portion size was extremely generous too. The desserts we saw looked amazing, works of art. My son ordered the Hawaiian pizza which was huge and went down a treat with him. I have to say, this is the best food we've ever had in a very long time (and we eat out on a very regular basis).

Service:

Exceptionally great service, all waitstaff were extremely friendly, helpful, professional and attentive, they were an absolute delight which is extremely rare at restaurants these days.

Ambience:

Great for a family meal, birthday, romantic meal for 2, any occasion really, friendly and the staff make you feel extremely welcome and comfortable. Loved everything about it. Seats were comfy, decor great, tables and table settings were beautiful, very well set out and planned.

Overall:
Everything was perfect, I really can't fault this restaurant whatsoever, a very pleasant and refreshing change. Most other establishments have a lot to learn from Nicola's. And there's more.... Nicola's also has an extensive drinks menu which includes pages of great cocktails, a great variety of wines and other drinks suitable for all tastes. The only downside: it's in Bunbury and not Perth, I'd recommend Nicola's to all those who are appreciate fantastic food, quality service and dining out.

I think all 30 of the other people at our table enjoyed their meals more than what I did. So it all comes down to choice. I had a spinach and pumpkin salad for starters which was lacking and a vegetarian pizza (there was no other vego options) which was plain.

It would seem that the things to order here are steaks, seafood or chicken parmigiana (the biggest serving I have ever seen!).

The boy had a steak which was cooked to perfection, he was very happy.

Service:

Efficient and organised. Friendly staff serving the meals to the correct people

Ambience:

There was at least 4 birthdays going on and our table was the biggest, it was a noisy, happy atmosphere. There were two parts to the restaurant where there were quite a few couples so they weren't being as bothered (I think) by the parties going on.

Overall:
Great atmosphere, service ran like clock work, if I am in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try something else.

This restaurant has recently moved a few blocks up (to what was "Jivin J's).

The food and service are excellent (it's unusual to get GOOD service by TRAINED staff as opposed to casuals who have no idea!)

The specials were reported by the staff and were actually ordered by our table of three, Quality and service were A1.

i had heard the worst reports about nicola's food and was then told the restaurant had either changed hands or there chef. WELL, i don't know what they did,(as i had never eaten there before) but it sure has made nicola's the BEST restaurant in bunbury.
why you ask?
1.its modern and vibrant with colours.
2.the staff were always there to pick up your empty stubbies or refill your glass of water.
3.courses were perfectly timed between meals.
4.FOOD & presentation was outstanding.
5.price was incredibly realistic.
6.great ambience on the night.

i cannot name one dish that stood out as with a table of 10 with a small child, everyone talked about the food for days after.....

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 10/10 KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK NICOLA'S

Apart from my restaurant this is the best food in Bunbury. The chef has enormous skill and knows what flavour is and how to get it on the plate. Nicolas have the same team line up...like my restaurant Tarantinos, my partner runs the front and I run the kitchen. I have enjoyed every meal I have eaten at Nicola's and it is a pleasure to eat there.
