The Old Bailey Tavern/Restaurant is an English themed establishment, featuring a warm, inviting ambiance, heavily accented by wood panelling, brass railing and pressed ceilings.

The establishment is a mixed-use facility comprised of sports bar, English bar and a multi purpose dining and entertainment facility.

The present owner/managers have operated the venue for 3 1/2 years and have built upon the existing highly popular reputation of the Old Bailey for quality and value.

Come on Embug I think you may be an advert. I will however say that the food here is awesome. Always consistant and well priced. Some of the best pub grub north of the river at a very fair price.

Service:

Always polite and freindly

Ambience:

If you like the inside of an english style pub then great. Could be a little cleaner.

Overall:
For what this place is - A Pub, it serves up some pretty good grub with a nice cold pint of beer. Will try to pull in for a lunch or dinner nore often.

It is not often that I will rate a Pub Bistro, let alone rate it highly. The Old Bailey Tavern is a rare exception and a rare treat. The food is consistently some of the best we have eaten in Perth and it is very reasonably priced.

The food can not be faulted. We have worked our way through the entire menu over the past five months and have yet to have a bad meal. The serves are well portioned (sometimes too much to be able to finish) and the ingredients are always fresh and cooked to perfection. I would expect this quality of food from a top internalionaly rated restaurant, to find it at a pub is amazing. Go on the right day and you can even get a free entree!

Service:

You have to order at the counter but the staff are friendly and they get your meal out quickly. Drinks are from the bar but if you order a cocktail they will bring it over to your table. Plates are cleared in a timely matter even when it's busy.

Ambience:

Hey, its a Pub!... it is unassuming but clean, great for groups or a casual dinner, it might not be the place you would go with your loved one for a special anniversary dinner unless you are real foodies and are more interested in your palate than the ambience.

Overall:
Top notch - unpretentious and consistently good. The only reason you wouldn't recommend this place is to make sure you can get a seat yourself!

This is our local watering hole so we have dined there many times. Always consistently good and well presented pub food. Service is good, but you have to go to counter to order...but this is expected at pubs these days. Great for get togethers. Music on some nights and they don't tolerate kids running around. How refreshing! Desert and coffee are you standard cake company fare...but very nice anyway.

Friday and Saturday nights buzz so make a booking.

I have now been to The Old Bailey's twice. Both times were a pleasant experience. The food is presented beautiful but unlike most "flash" restaurants who present the food beautifully, the portions are quite large, and quite yummy.

I have enjoyed two of the FREE entrees on the two different occasion, once the chilli mussels and the other the calamari, both were very good. We were expecting a small serve being that it was something for nothing, but were surprised when we saw the size of the serving.

Will definitely be returning.

Overall:
Went for a quick dinner here during the week, following many great reviews from friends. I was very surprised by The Old Bailey and will definitely be returning.

It is broken up into the bar area and the restaurant area. You receive FREE (yes FREE!) chilli mussels with every main during the week and they are absolutely delish.

We got garlic bread (mammoth pieces that we could not finish even between the two of us), the chilli mussels and Wok of the Day. The stir fry was extremely good - everything was cooked to perfection and it tasted delightful.

Looking around the restaurant the other dishes coming from the kitchen looked just as pleasing. Prices are quite reasonable and the service was excellent, all the staff were very attentive.

As well as a great menu they have a wide range of desserts which I shall have to return to sample!

All in all this experience exceeded my expectations and we will definitely be back - might stop in at the pub after too!
