The Hot Bavarain Pancakes were the best i have ever eaten in my life. Served with steaming hot apples and cinnamon i was completely excited to start on this platefuly as soon as it arrived! topped off with a latte

Service:

Ok would have liked a bit more character from the waiters but it was a bit late int he night

Ambience:

Huge restaurant with out door seating all clean and tidy as should be

Overall:
I can not wait to go back and try the pancakes again!!!!!

The pancakes were cooked to perfection. I had the chicken parcels which tasted great. But for the price of the meal for four people ended up being $140 (and two meals were only ordered as an entree and only two desserts and two mains). We were luck enough to have a $50 off voucher.

Service:

The service was polite. But the only fault we found is we asked for the drinks to come out with the meal. But they came out prior. We waited for a waiter to come back to take our dessert menu but they didnt come and we had to ask for it.

Ambience:

The restaurant was a bit dingy and needed a bit of updating. we were the only ones in the restaurant

Overall:
Probably wouldnt go back there again.

My husband and I have dined here recently for both breakfast and lunch and the food has been very good on both occassions - especially the pancakes which are so fluffy and tasty!!! (although, given their name, you would expect awesome pancakes!). I had the blueberry pancakes which came with a VERY generous serving of blueberries. I would recommend the big breakky - which is good value between two people (unless you are a really big eater and want it all to yourself!). The nachos were on par with most other places. The milkshakes are very tasty and also good value!

We have always been served very promptly, despite the waiters in this place looking like they would rather be else where... I suppose I would feel the same on a sunday as well! Our food has always come out within 10 minutes or so of the order being taken.

Ambience:

We have sat outside and also at the tables along the bar... its got a standard cafe/bistro feel about it. Several plasmas if your inclined to watch a bit of tv.

Overall:
I would definitely recommend this place for its pancakes - if you have a pancake craving, this is the place to go, you wont be disappointed!

I am a pancake freak, just love pancakes. I had a basket of wedges which were absolutely lovely as were the kids chips. Hubby had a savoury crepe. Mum had a burger, which she said was the best she had ever tasted. For dessert we ordered chocolate jewel (bland) bananarama and strawberry patch. Not quite what we expected from the menu description but OK anyway. Seriously, I think if you love pancakes, eat them at home. These were pretty much Maccas style but around $14 for two pancakes. The cream was the canned variety which was melted by the time we got it, yuk. All up there were 2 savory crepes, 2 serves of chips, one wedges a burger and 5 serves of dessert pancakes. Nearly $160 for a very average meal. Oh and a teabag and jug of H2o is $4.

Service:

5.15pm on a Friday. A young man with a heavy accent said "we are just opening" and "sit where you like". No smile. Mums burger was not delivered when we asked he said we didnt order it we reminded him of the discussion re chips with burger (jogged his memory) curt "sorry" very rude young man.

Ambience:

Spoiled by rude and grumpy waiter (backpacker?) but otherwise nice decor, restaurant was near empty just us and another small table.

Overall:
Pancakes are nothing to rave about, service by waiter lets the whole thing down and made us feel very uncomfortable

I have been here a couple of times.

No potato au grating is beaut, delicious and filling.

the crepe escape (bacon, cheese and pineapple (with some sort of tomato
salsa on top of the pineapple). I found it not too bad without the tomato,
but it really doesn't go with the pineapple, cheese and bacon.

Choc milkshakes are pretty good :) good value for 3.90.

we had blueberry pancakes - not that good,
the choc jaffa is pretty good, and we had the choc one last time
which was really good.

Service:

very good - can be busy at times but its worth the wait

Ambience:
friendly, not too loud

Overall:
make sure you choose a good savoury dish, some a very delicious and others not. make sure you choice decisively. the dessert pancakes are really nice. a bit overpriced, good with the 25% from eating wa. will go back again probably in another 6 months

Despite coming here for lunch, I was in a definite mood for fluffy, cake-like pancakes, but I ordered the bacon, eggs and pancake combo as I wasn't sure how good their basic buttermilk were. I was delighted to find they were just as fluffy as I hoped, with a good flavour and very well complimented by the icecream on top and the maple syrup (although a watery version) that was on every table. The sweetness of it all was well offset by the salty bacon which makes me wonder if I could eat pancakes by themselves - certainly not with icecream.

Service:

We were seated without much wait but it took a while for anyone to take our order - we had to try and wave someone down but it was extremely busy. My companion, who had a side of chips, was offered chicken salt as an extra condiment when it arrived, which he thought was great as he loves it.

Ambience:

It was not a large restaurant and so it felt fairly "intimate" in that you were seated close to other diners, some of whom were noisy. But it actually worked well with a kind of diner charm, considering the food they serve it was appropriate.

Overall:
It lived up to my hopes and dismissed my previous memory of chocolate pancakes here being too sweet to be edible. We both enjoyed it more than we thought and will definetely be returning.

When you wake up on a Sunday well after breakfast is finished where do you go? Well Pancakes and Grill on James was still serving brekky by the time we arrived there at 1pm.

After reading the menu and finding it so hard what to decide on. I chose "The Works" and it was fantastic apart from me asking for me eggs scrambled but receiving them poached. No big deal because the rest was fantastic!

The prtions were well sized the food was hot and the pancakes devine.

Service:

As soon as we walked in the restaurants we were immediately shown to our seats and handed menus. The waitress was so friendly and very helpful.

Ambience:

I felt very at home in the ambience as it was very relaxed and funky I suppose you could say. The seats were comfy and we didnt even realise how full the place was until we stood up to leave.

Overall:
The overall experience was top notch and will be sure to go back for a meal in the future and hopefully leave room for their deserts!
