  • A typical Italian theme. There is a comfy couch to sit on when waiting for a table or perusing the takeaway menu. Inside the tables are a bit too close together and can seem a bit claustrophobic (and noisy when busy) but the alfresco area is a winner!

I have been to this restaurant so many time over the last 7 years and never once have complained about their dishes. I should also mention if they have the banoffe pie on for dessert get it. Best dessert ever. Prices are also very reasonable.

Well, I went with a group of 7 for my birthday dinner. For entree i had chicken wings with mango sauce (different but good) and Main hand made pasta In a tomato sauce. Also No. 15 on the main menu was also a very popular choice at our table and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. But the rule still stands "you eat at a Italian restaurant, you order Italian food!" • Whenever I come to this place to have dinner, mainly on Sunday evenings, the food here is really good and really tasty and big portions that I always take home for later or lunch the next day. I'd start off with the Grissini and Chilli Mussels, best and most flavorsome in Perth that I have had. I'd have my favourite Pollo ala Pana or either the Veal Parmigiana. I always tell myself to try something new the next time I go there.

I have never been disappointed and recommend everybody I know.

  • Pizzas are average. Pastas really nice. Pepper steak brilliant. You can't ask for any changes as the staff are too scared to ask the chef/owner. I've heard someone insist on asking if they could have pineapple on a pizza and the owner barking something along the lines of 'tell them to go to marco's or dominos if they want tacky'

Overall, this was a great dining experience. This restaurant is only around the corner from where we live but we never knew it existed. It's in the middle of suburbia so it's not the sort of place you would walk past and find but now we know where it is we can't wait to go back. I will warn you that the servings are huge so be careful not to order too much which is the mistake we made and weren't able to order desserts which looked great and are all made on the premises by the owner.

  • This was the first time we visited this restaurant and it was a very pleasant experience. The menu was very diverse with a few of the traditional Italian favourites as well as some different authentic dishes. For entree we had brushetta and also Cipollata (grilled eggplant, onion & capers sauteed with fetta cheese). For mains I ordered the chicken risotto which was very flavoursome and had a great texture. My fiancee had the marinara which consisted of a great range of seafood and had plenty of seafood mixed through the homemade spaghetti. It was a pleasant surprise as when you order marinara at many restaurants you really have to search for the seafood in it! We also had a traditional ceaser salad to share.

  • I had a seafood pizza (frutti de mare) which was a touch on the bland side but certainly had all the makings of a good pizza, so if you chose the right toppings I think you'd come up trumps. My husband had a steak which was apparently above average and my sister really enjoyed her penne arrabiata. The tiramisu was very nice, and huge. We took our 16 month old daughter and asked about what we could order for her. The waitress said that there was a kids' menu but the dishes were probably too large and just suggested we give her bits of our dinner which was good advice. We were the first to order but I still couldn't believe how fast the food came out.

We arrived at the restaurant on a Friday night for an early dinner. We didn't have a booking but were able to get a table easily. It was a beautiful evening so we decided to sit outside and enjoyed the sunset. My husband ordered the baby goat. Not knowing what that was like we asked the waitress and she kindly shared with us that it was similar to lamb. After having tried the lamb in many other Italian restaurants and this was one of the first restaurants we have seen offering baby goat, my husband decided to try it to compare. He was rather surprised how much it tasted like lamb and was rather pleased with it. The meat melted off the bone, the portion was large, a bit too large for us actually. I had the scotch fillet. I asked for medium rare. This came out just nice but the meat was on the tougher side. However, the sun-dried tomato, feta and mushroom complemented the meat and rice exceptionally. I ordered the Tiramisu and it was just superb - moist and not overly sweet. The ambience was casual, relaxing and nice. The service makes a huge difference to the ambience. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive, helpful and enthusiastic. They really helped us with our order - being first timers there. The food came out so quickly. We had just finished ordering our mains and the entree had arrived. Not long after they had taken away our entree, within the next five minutes the mains arrived. The price was reasonable. Similar to any other italian restaurant but the quality in service and food is much better in comparison.

Wacky waiters and lots of conversation are the biggest impressions this funky cafe had on me. On a Saturday night there's a youngish crowd (20's-30's) with loud conversation, attentive and funny staff and very nice food. My pumpkin and ricotta pasta with walnuts was very nice. It only annoyed me that they charge $6 corkage PER PERSON and their bottled water was also very expensive.

This cafe is an old favourite for us. It is reliably good, every time and we have yet to be disappointed. The service is exceptional - very friendly staff and meals are served quickly. Tonight my husband and I shared entrees of the Grissini and Bruschetta. We had baby goat and broccoli pasta for mains. The food is delicious and well priced for such generous portion sizes. The only drawback for me is that the ambience is very loud however we also consider this to be a compliment to the cafe - due to its popularity! A gem in the suburbs!

We went for dinner on Sunday night at about 8pm. The service was very prompt and friendly and our waitress recommended the grissini with balsamic and olive oil. They were fantastic! We also ordered some marinated feta and olives to start with - both came out with so much that we had to take some home. For mains we ordered baby goat, lamb shanks and chicken risotto. The shanks were up there with the best I've ever had (melt in your mouth), but I would have been happy if they were just served with mash, not rice as well. The goat was tasty, but there were too many bones and too much fat ie a lot of fiddling to eat the meal. The risotto was stunning with a beautiful delicate flavour, although the serving size was enough for two people. Our waitress suggested the tiramisu that they make at the restaurant for dessert and I'm very happy to say we obliged. We shared it between the three of us and it was absolutely delicious. The only thing that dampened our evening was the wait staff sweeping and loading chairs on tables around us at 8.40pm. I wouldn't have thought it was late enough to start closing and surely that's a job that doesn't take too long so it could be left until the restaurant is empty?? At 9pm they switched the lights off in our area of the restaurant. I guess they really wanted to get home. As much as these two things really annoyed me, I will go back because the food was fantastic and the service was super quick and friendly too.

This is a top family restaurant, excellent for bringing the kids along. We dine here regularly, the staff are very friendly, the children are treated really well, the food is fantastic, large servings, well priced and close to home. They also have a take-away menu which is great for those times when you don't feel like leaving the house! Another great thing is that you don't need to make an appointment, you can just rock up and there's usually always room. And the tiramisu is the best and our favourite dessert! We sometimes drive there just to pick up a take-away serving, it's that nice!
